This impressive and well preserved medieval gate gives you the best feeling of how this town looked as of the 14th century.

I went here with my partner who loves Medieval history. There's not too much to see but the size and beauty of the gate will definitely impress you. A nice little find in Nancy.

A rather special place as it's held dear to the heart of a special person to me! A great atmosphere and a special building full of ambience and impact!

This 15th century entrance gate into the old city is the only one left of the Medieval fortifications and has been recently renovated. It's an impressive piece of architecture, very picturesque and lovely to walk through. I just wish the signs telling you about the restoration and history of it were in English!

One of Nancy’s remaining former city gates at the end of Grand Rue. There’s also another remaining gate (Porte de la Citadelle) just outside Porte Craffe but Porte Craffe is nicer to view. We’ve also found four other gates/portes around the city (maybe there’s more?). Walk the Grand Rue (there’s lots of shops and restaurants so it’s time well spent) and you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful city gate.

Este portão medieval, do sëculo 14, é realmente imponente! Passando o portão, tem uma fortaleza que pode ser visitadas...tudo muito interessante! Gostei!

Dommage qu on ne puisse pas la visiter de l interieur, les grilles se referment le soir. En tous cas très jolie depuis sa renovation

Une des portes d'accès à la vieille ville. Porte dont l'accès a été rénové depuis peu (fermée la nuit) réhabilitée cette porte offre un cachet tout particulier au quartier.

門上部に記されたダブルクロスは、第二次大戦時に独軍に抵抗し続けた自由フランス軍の旗印となったことを読んだことがあり、探して行ってみた。地図にはあるのだが、人通りの少ない、道が入り組んで分かりずらい場所にある。現在は門は閉ざされているが、14世紀の建築時はここが町の入口だったのだろう。

ここだけの為にわざわざ行く程ではないと思いますが、ナンシーの街全体の散策の中で寄れば良いと思います。味のある外観で街の雰囲気によくマッチしていて、古いヨーロッパを感じさせます。門なので、この下を人も車も自由に通ることが出来ます。

Εντυπωσιακή κατασκευή. Θυμίζει παραμυθένιους πύργους.Η αρχή ή το τέλος του περίπατου στην παλιά πόλη του Νανσύ.ΟΙ τότε κάτοικοι το έφτιαξαν για αμυντικούς λόγους εμείς όμως το αντιλαμβανόμαστε αλλιώς. Αυτά έχει η ζωή.

Une architecture classique, une porte plutôt imposante, avec un passage pour les piétons, et sous la porte, une belle surprise avec des sculptures modernes éclairées, sur le plafond de la porte, qui bougent avec la lumière. Très joli

Magnifique bâtiment à voir si vous êtes de passage à Nancy. On peut passer la porte à pied ou en voiture. Avec le parc de la pépinière et la place Stanislas cela vous fera une belle demi-journée dans cette ville sympathique.

Superbe porte avec ses 2 tours. N'hésitez pas à la traverser car elle est différente d'un côté et de l'autre.
