My boyfriend and I went on our first holiday together to Skala, Kefalonia and were absolutely over the moon to find a place like the Captains Bar! We are both in our early twenties so we're looking for somewhere with an atmosphere!The staff are some of the happiest and loveliest people you will ever meet. George is fantastic at making your cocktails and soon becomes your best friend! With such a huge menu there is a cocktail (or 3) for everyone! They hold happy hour also! The place is also lit up by Andreas and Tina. They are always asking about your day, and Tina is always up for a good boogie!The bar is favourited by the one and only celebrity Simon Pegg. We were lucky enough to meet him on two occasions during our stay at the captains bar. And so might you!We went there every night, as the decor is gorgeous and the company is excellent. We went to this bar a few times during our two weeks in Skala; it’s a really fun busy buzzing bar.They serve some bonkers cocktails a lot of them in very long glasses with very very long straws, sparklers the lot, it just adds to the experience of the place. Our first night having a drink was a bit of a wash out due to a huge storm, it closed the bar on one side so we ended up in there hotel part of the bar which is really nicely done out in Bedouin sales very sheik.They also play some great music loud the atmosphere is brilliant; the staff are great really attentive and also great fun. If you do not have a good time here there is something wrong with you, go in get a bonkers cocktail or two and relax, you are holiday.We did a few times have Fun we did.J & M

My husband I have travelled to Kefolonia three times. Until this time we had not visited the Captain's Bar but we made up for it this time. The bar atmosphere is great, especially Yammas time, the cocktails are wonderful and the atmosphere. I would highly recommend this bar irt deserves a visit if you are ever in Skala.

We stayed in Skala for 2 weeks and this was our return trip after 8 years. I was so happy to see than Tina and Andreas are still there! They are still as lively and friendly as ever and the bar looked even nicer than I remembered with pretty lights in the trees and draped in white sails.The cocktails are great and we visited several times over our two weeks. A big thankyou to Tina and Andreas who allowed me to reserve a table for my boyfriend's 30th and even treated him to a birthday cocktail. The area they now have across the road from the main bar is done out so nicely and looks very sophisticated. If you are ever in Skala, a visit to Captains Bar is a must. We can't wait to return in 2016!

We first said this to Monica 20 years ago! After a couple of years, everybody was saying it! Monica is no loger there, and is missed, but George is a very good substitute.We have stayed in Skala every year since 1996, and have had many happy evenings in the Captains Bar. Also stayed across the road in Captain's House many times.Although we came in September this year, we were very happily surprised that the bar was very busy every evening. Still noisy, but if you want a quiet chat, don't go there!We love Fani and Vangelis, and their kids Tina and Theo, who we have watched grow up. Now of course, there are in-laws and grandchildren!We are of course, a little bit biased, and sometimes piased! Don't just take our word for it. Go there and try it yourself. Best bar in lovely skala.Nice music that you don't listen around any more which make you happy.George make delicious cocktails.Mojito is must in captains.

Just love this bar! George makes some amazing cocktails & the atmosphere there is always fun -with a good mix of music! A great place to relax & have a laugh after a busy day on the beach!

I have been visiting Skala for the last 4 years and without fail, my first stop is to visit Captains BarI always receive a warm welcome from Andreas, Tina, Theo and George. The friendly, lively atmosphere in the bar makes every evening enjoyable. The cocktail list is vast and each one expertly made by George. See you again next year

Totally tropical taste of the Greek Islands captured perfectly at this quirky bar. Come for happy hour, great atmosphere and decor.

Very busy bar with good vibe. Not too sure about the cocktails served in massive glasses, but that's just my personal preference. Staff are really accommodating and the bar seems to attract lots of customers every night (because of the good atmosphere) even though its tucked away up the road which runs parallel to the main street -

We chose to sit in the more relaxed, lounge area of Captains bar and we really enjoyed sitting there, mellowing out with a couple of drinks listening to the music, at the end of our evening (it always sounded a lot livlier in the main bar, over the road but the laid back lounge suited us much more)The music was great,60's 70's 80's motown, old disco, all kinds, it was greatAnd the cocktails were lovely, with a huge list to choose from

Excellent cocktails, huge choice, great atmosphere and music. Friendly, efficient staff, lots of happy birthdays sang and would highly recommend.
