It left a permanent mark in my thoughts. The exhibition was powerful and touching and still after many months I think about it and remember it clearly. Great job!

Have visited this museum quite a few times. Always has great powerful exhibitions. Building is amazing. A hidden gem.

Learned a lot about a War (1991-1995) that my family did not know much about. The photos displayed there were honest and detailed and my son even winced at some of the injuries shown. This led to some good discussion within our family about why War is a horrible thing.

Thought provoking and educational photos. Room to sit and reflect in between photos. The narrative with each photo is informative. Allow 90 minutes to 2 hours to absorb it properly.

It was a disappoint that the museum is closed during Winter months. It took pains to find out if was even open and then the bad news. Make it obvious on the front of your Westie or better yet, Open up all year!

In the very touristy town of Dubrovnik, this gallery provides something different. Not only can you learn more about the wars in the former Yugoslavia, but also the ongoing wars in Africa/the Middle East (check the website for current exhibitions). The impact that visual images leaves to you cannot be underestimated. Exhibits include photos and videos.

A good insight of history about Croatia, where freedom is an essential in humanity. Fallen heroes, fighting for freedom and self rule is all about the life of people in the Balkan States,

Took a little effort to locate this little shop of horrors yet it is something worth every Euro spent. To be exposed to the horrors of war, to learn how it affects the civilian population, the damage to lives and property all presented in a serious of photographs displayed for someone's gratification and disgust both at the same time.Recommended just for the fact that we learn to resist the need to through bombs and bullets at our families and friends. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing.

This was my second visit to this Museum and it has changed a lot. Excellent photography, movies and information. There are about 5 different areas to sit and watch and you can be there for a good 2 hours.

Don't do what we did--not realize it closes at 4pm, show up ten minutes before, almost not get in, and after some pleading, be allowed in (gratis!) to run around frantically trying to see all the amazing exhibits in 10 minutes. They were really nice to admit us, and the exhibit on the Balkan conflicts was so powerful and moving--seeing photos of the gorgeous old town where we were standing in flames was something else. But there are fascinating exhibits on other conflicts, so don't miss those--give yourself more than ten minutes! Well worth it.

Nearly two decades have passed since Croatia and Serbia fought. Walking around Dubrovnik, there is little evidence of this. That is why I made sure to visit this well designed and thoughtfully planned museum. The exhibits of still photographs from the late Balkan war and other more recent conflicts are unapologetically raw and gave me a new appreciation for how far Croatia has progressed, and how much suffering is still going on around the world. Some of the hardest exhibits to view were the child soldiers (in different parts of the world) and the video of key figures and battles from the war set to popular music of the 1990s. Think twice before bringing the little ones. Many of the images are graphic and will stay with you long after you leave.

An amazing gallery. The photos were so moving. Although a binder was provided in which each photo was described, one didn't need this to feel what was happening at the time it was taken. At times I was overwhelmed by what I saw. And it was all so very important to see. I also had the opportunity to visit the war photo gallery in Mostar, Bosnia (photos taken by the owner of this gallery) which was also excellent.

A rather somber place to visit, but very interesting. The best part is the video...I wish more of the exhibits had English descriptions or interpretations.

Different attraction compared to everything offered in old town. However it's definitely worth visiting. Found just off the Main Street in old town. Great photography however the caretaker could have been a bit more friendly.

All the pictures were very moving but told a very sad story. This should not be for someone who looked for a week off very hectic work at home and looking for something to relax. However, we ended up here because of the rain and there is not much else to do. I would recommend anyone visiting to have a mental preparation for something very sad and traumatic.
