The Santa Fe shopping center in El Poblado could teach the USA a few lessons in how to serve and keep customers. It is enormous, with several distinct areas all marked by signs so you can find your way back. It has six floors of parking underneath, with a free artificial vision system to show you where your car is. All you have to do is type in your license plate number, and it tells you where it is.Another innovation that I love is that they provide plenty of comfortable seating all through the mall. Not just hard plastic bus terminal seats, either, but lovely couches and armchairs in cozy clusters. That lets guys like me sit in comfort, enjoying free high-speed WiFi, while our wives go through the shops to build the local economy. I bet the couches paid for themselves in less than a month. On Sunday I was surprised to hear a church service going on in one branch of the mall. Several hundred people were seated in comfort, while some stood. The acoustics were fine. What a great idea for multiple use of this fine facility. The area surrounding the Santa Fe mall is high end, with fine hotels and banks all over the place. It is called the Golden Mile for a reason. There are a lot of banks represented in the mall as well, in case you need to get a refill to keep the little lady going. The two levels of food shops offer all kinds of fare, with a glass-wall balcony giving an awesome view if you dine on the patio. The variety of stores on the other floors is very wide, with many N. American brands having weaseled in somehow. The whole mall is very accessible, with escalators and super-smooth, silent Mitsubishi glass elevators as well as marble staircases. I also appreciated the electrically operated roofs over the various courts, allowing sun and fresh air to grace the shoppers. It was also great to shop at a real farmer's market in the largest courtyard on the weekend. All manner of fresh fruits, veggies and other delights such as honey were available. My favorite find there was a chap making guarapo, a fantastic natural drink made solely from sugar cane and limes, pressed through a heavy duty gear extractor right before our eyes. I always ask for it "sin hielo" so they do not give you half a glass of ice with a smaller amount of the life-giving guarapo. Few things are as refreshing on a warm Medellín day.My wife is very picky about baños (bathrooms), but went out of her way to exclaim on the cleanliness and beauty of the Santa Fe facilities. I agree. You can get to the Santa Fe mall by a 15-minute walk uphill from the Aguacatala Metro station. Another way we like is to get off at El Poblado and walk up to the Golden Mile, turning right after Parque El Poblado. It takes about twenty minutes from El Poblado station, unless you stop to stare at the beautiful buildings along the route, as we do.Highly recommended!

The mall is very new and they have a lot of nice stores. I like to spend some time there and go through all the shops. I usually never end up buying anything, as there are a lot of cheaper options for shopping in Medellin. The food court is nice and there are options for everyone. All in all I recommend a visit.

The food cort in this mall was great and the stores were really good, there is plenty of ATM's, Juan Valdez coffe shop in the first floor and a grocery store.

My first visit to Latin America and didn't know what to expect for many things. This large, modern, well laid out shopping centre was wonderful. So many familiar shops, super food court, and just a great ambiance.

Santa Fe is a great modern mall in the Poblado district of Medellin. It is large and has a good variety of both Colombian designer and more international brands. There are good places to eat and have coffee, plus a large supermarket. It is an easy 15 minute walk along Avenida Poblado from Parque Poblado, so very handy if you're staying in that area (which I definitely recommend as the best area to stay in Medellin).

I didn't expect it was going to be so big!!! You can everything you want in one place, good stores, excellent restaurants, a game zone for kids, movie theater, you name it! I really like it

This place is huge, but it was so crowded that you couldn't go were you wanted to but to were the crowd was going...Besides, it is hot inside and the parking lot is terrible. They have to have people guiding the cars to where the free spaces were, because the signs and the design is so bad. You can easily spend 30 minutes looking for that.

This is a huge mall with a large number of shops and possibly the best place to buy if you really need something or if you live in Medellin. If you are on vacation, it is not really worth it: compared to Europe and the US it is quite expensive--why carry stuff home that you get cheaper at home. Restaurants around Parque Lleras are nicer than the food court...

If you want to walk around of the Gold Mile of the El Poblado you can not miss this place, one of the biggest malls of Medellin, with to many stores very good prices all brands, the food court with a lot of different options

Visited twice during my trip to Medellin and was impressed. First time was only to window shop, checking out the vast array of shops ranging from local brands, to your overseas fashion labels, plus much more. The food choices are impressive, ranging from fast food and otherwise. The views as well from the top level food court were simply stunning. You can definitely find everything here!

We went there like 3 times.... A lot of shopping to do and the food court is just amazing. Very delicious foods.

If you're looking to purchase any of the trendy styles that you've seen on the streets in Medellin, I'm guessing that you'll be able to find most of them at the Santa Fe mall. Located in El Poblado, this mall has all the shops that you'd find state-side, plus more. Although this was one of the pricier malls that I'd been to while in Medellin, there were definitely a lot of very good sales going on at the time of my visit. Also, definitely check out the food court. Where else can you find better steaks, cooked to order in a shopping mall food court, than in Medellin? Gotta love it! :)
