Thank you for your review, we are in our wet season and our quiet time. We increase our hours in April to accommodate the influx of visitors to our area.

Thank you for your review your comments have been noted, but am unsure of the point you are making about lacking the local touch and culture and of us being “ashamed”, whether you are referring to the Visitor Centre or the town.The Visitor Centre is a not for profit organisation and the staff, the board of management and the members take great pride in the information they supply and rapport they share with the local community

Hi Bhulands, thanks for taking the time to review the Derby Visitor Centre.I am a little confused by your review though. I can understand your frustrations about the paid activities, though there are plenty of free ones situated throughout the town? And I'm not sure why you would choose to give us a poor review based on that? Given that your questions where answered? And your follow up visit was even better.We take great pride in our centre and the training all our staff have. It is advice that we give as a general rule of thumb, as it is so far away from us, and you never know what will happen between the time you leave here, and arrive there.We don't promote the Destination Kimberley guide as it promotes camping on private station land. I'm glad you found our staff pleasant and helpful though :)
