Nowhere on Google "Wikipedia" or any signage does it tell you how old this magnificent tree is. In fact we read it in "The Weekend Post" 14th March 2015. Definitely worth the visit.
What a great attraction and easily accessible for everyone from young to old, well worth a trip to stare into the curtain and see what mother nature has created.
The Curtain Fig Tree is definitely worth a look, it's on the way through to the Tablelands. Once you park the car, there a small board walk that you walk round and then you'll see the huge fig tree. It's something special. Luckily for us there was no one around when we got there so we were able to study it's beauty for longer.
A huge tree that's incredibly cool to look at. There's not much else to it then that. There's a boardwalk going all the way around it, allowing wheelchairs and bikes. Go around 8 in the morning, before big groups get there.
This curtain fig is just out of Yungaburra. It is well signposted and there is a good carpark and boardwalk leading the tree. Strategically posted boards tell you about the tree and there is plenty of scope for interesting photography. You are looking at a 10-20minutes stop to see a fine example of nature
The Curtain Fig is a breathtaking example that nature creates the most amazing and wonderful structure. It is not a huge national park but dont cheat yourself from the experience in visiting this natural wonder if you re passing by.
Small board walk to the tree. Definitely worth a stop and look. best to have your own car and do it part of many other attraction in the Atherton Tablelands (if coming from Cairns).
This place is on the Atherton Tablelands and not far from Yungaburra at the top of the Gillies Range. We stopped in for a look because we had the time, it was interesting how the curtain came about. We marveled at the walking/viewing platform that was all around the tree and soaked it all in.
Amazing tree with viewing platform around. We were lucky to arrive when a lady had just spotted a mother and baby tree kangaroo! First ever experience for us! Lots of wildlife surrounding.
It's been a few years since I last visited the Curtain Fig Tree outside of Yungaburra. There is a wonderful viewing platform that provides a 360 degree view of the Curtain Fig and just reinforces how amazing mother nature can be.
This fig tree is amazing. We were lucky in as much that no one else was there when we visited. The boardwalk around it is wide and level so it is easy for all to view. A free attraction that's fascinating. Well worth a visit.
Very busy with tourists viewing this quite unusual tree. Very cool to see. Ensure you walk all of the way around it!
Visited here with friends. Really impressive natural structure. Fully accessible to anyone with mobility issued.
worth checking out if you have a car. or if its part of your tour. the tree isn't far from the room side.
The Curtain Fig tree was a wonderful sight .I got some great photos of the tree and the surrounding forest was pretty to. Highly recommended.
