For $22, you get about a half-day of personalized instruction with a very small group (2 people, in my case), so you get a lot of one-on-one attention with the instructor and minimal waiting for waves.Having had lessons in Hawaii, Byron Bay, and Ecuador, I'd say the thoroughness of instruction is slightly above average. The instructor didn't do any warm-up with us or physical assessment to gauge fitness and flexibility, but I did stand up several times.

The best lesson in the east coast! Great value and great instructor ( Lorenzo!!!).. If you think you can't surf, just try it.. You won't regret!

At the beginning i was very nervous about this experience and I thought I could not make it. but thanks to this friendly and helpful crew it became one of the best experience in Australia. I was actually able to stand up on the board!! and this was only thanks to Dominique and Lorenzo the surf intructors that helped me and were very patient!

Lazy lizard surf school is by far the best package you will find in the east coast. The beaches are beautiful and the surf is great for beginners. We had a great time with Lorenzo and Freddie yesterday surfing...or at least trying to! By far the best surf lesson you will get and for such a good price. Lorenzo and Freddie work very hard to make sure you get to catch good waves and have a good shot at standing up on the board! You get all the photos included in the price too. We all had a great time...thank you ☺️

Thumbs up for some fabulous fun surf crew at 1770. Special thanks to Lorenzo our cool capable surf instructor, ably assisted by Freddie, you guys rock. We passed through a few weeks ago and booked a surf lesson with the crew from Lazy Lizard but alas on getting to the beach the surf was flat. Lorenzo offered everyone the option of having a go anyway or our money back. Cant do much about the waves or the weather.We were impressed by his personality and people skills and decided to try again on our return trip.So glad we did. BEST EVER FUN for $22 ! This time we had great waves and a memorable few hours and even fantastic photos. Gratis.If you are looking for a fun experience go for it. Even as a pair of fifty somethings amongst the backpackers we a great time thanks to the friendly Lazy Lizard crew.

Sooo good! I really enjoyed my surflesson with lazy lizard. The instructors are intrested in every single individs learing, and they are so nice! It's very cheap and you get photos from the day (taken with go-pro-cameras) as they put them on facebook! The groups are small (we were 14 persons). Best surf in Agnes Water!

I was on the board for the very first time and thanks to lorenzo and freddy i managed to stand up so many times! The two were really fun and we could surf as long as we wanted! Pictures with a gopro are included :)

Best surf school Lorenzo and Freddy are the best instructors ever. The groups are very small and personal. All the time you feel cared about, they really teach you, while keeping it funny and casual. Also you get free pictures which are taken from GoPro cameras mounted on the surfboards! I really had a blast and learned how to stand up. I also went to the other surf school in town and they don't even compare. Their courses are always full and their boards weren't as good as lazy lizards. I recommend this surf school to everyone.

We spent the last days in Agnes water and tried to learn surfing with Lazy Lizard Surf School! We had a great experience, Laurenzo is a great guy who teaches you a lot. We did it three times in a row, because it is great and cheap!!!!

Good way to learn how to surf. Always chooses the best beach for that day. Fun and good instructors! And cheap!

Lorenzo is the best instructor iv seen. His lessons are so much fun and he only takes a small group so you get a lot of 1 on 1 time. If you spend a few days at 1770 and surf everyday Lorenzo will have you surfing like a pro in no time ( like me lol ) For $22 bucks it's really good value for money. This tour is highly recommend. Great surf lesson a very fair price! It rained the whole time but everyone had smiles on their faces everyone stood up as well. In our group of 8! Lots of fun!

Easily booked & collection is part of the service. Got to know our fellow surfing companions quickly with the rammed packed vehicle. Briefed on saftey woth the evil sun! Then the 10min plus walk to the beach carrying a surf board - relieved when that was over. A guide to popping up on the board, entering the sea safely then straight in.Fun, laughs and more fun :DWorth the $22 for the 3hours. Warning: you will feel it the next day & sun screen your butt cheeks, you'll be surprised otherwise!

Had a great lesson and managed to stand up even though it was my first time and the waves were pretty rough! Lorenzo was a great instructor and spent some one on one time with everyone. We went to a different beach which was quite secluded and we pretty much had it to ourselves. He made an effort to take a photo of everyone and shares them for free over facebook :) . He was also kind enough to hang out with us in the afternoon with a delicious bbq! Great value for money, highly recommend! Thanks!
