kingsville historical park

An amazing small museum with a well displayed series of accounts and artifacts all pertaining to the military history of the people of the Kingsville area. A super collection of memorabilia, uniforms and military hardware. The manager is charming and most helpful. But, she desperately needs help--both financially and volunteers. Try to find anybody, for example who could elaborate on the role of the Essex Scottish. Lots of memories but not many people apparently willing to extend the experience to formal talks or discussions of military history. Pity!

Lakeside Park is lovely in the summer too. Weddings, re-unions, swimming, park, barbecues.Close to Jack's GastroPub and Inn, great food and atmosphere. Pelee Island Winery close by, had a tour and bought wine.Colasanti's Tropical Gardens, visited in Ruthven, and had wonderful cider and donuts.

Nice to have a Military type museum so close to enjoy. Curators are doing a great job. Nice place to take the family.

Love small town parks. Lots of people out enjoying themselves on a sunny afternoon. The Flea Market was a bonus - met a local author as well as others.
