chalk sound

Great view, there is not much to do but you can really enjoy the quiet and the beaty of the place. There are some boats that are allowed to go into the Chalk Sound this might be a good idea for an afternoon but I didn't do it. The island itself is gorgeous.

The color of the water is unbelievable. It's always beautiful, but visit in the morning to see the Sound really glow turquoise.

The blue waters of Chalk Sound are beautiful. We had breakfast at Las Brisas, which was delicious. We swam across the street at Sapodilla Bay beach. We did not do the pontoon tour but would love to do that next time. Very close to the airport.

We dropped off school supplies at the Children's Home in Chalk Sound - the children were so happy to receive unexpected Christmas gifts!

This is a little bit of of drive from Grace Bay but the views were fantastic. We watched a sunset from the Taylor bay area. It is a little hard to find a parking spot but with a little effort you can find one. Chalk Sound is really nice to take pictures and you will know why they call it Chalk Sound when you see it.

I have never seen waters like this! You must go see Chalk Sound while you are there. The water is warm, and crystal clear. It is kind of hard to find a point where you can get in, so make sure you know where you are going before you head out.

You need a shallow boat or stand up paddle boards to see this as it is very shallow. Swimming is also a must.

There really isn't anything to do here other than look at the beauty. Have to drive through a heavily industrialized area to get to it. Not that great. Also Nothing is marked. You have to watch the map closely because streets are not well marked. There should also be some viewing points or turn offs that would make it nicer for those living in the houses in the area.

Amazing!!!! The only most used word in the English language. Ha! Please go...ITs a giant swimming pool. Go to Neptune Villa's. You will wish you were staying there. Special Place....A precious local family owns it and they aim to please and make you happy. See Rolly at the Las Brisas Restaurant and Bar. He makes the best Mojito and ANYTHING you can ask for. Rachel is the owner. She doesn't tell you that but she treats you like a very special guest. She loves people and it shows. We spend the entire day there. We went on the Chaulksound tour they have on site. That was such a treat. We learned a lot. We came back and watched the sunset and had the best meal while we were in Turks. Las Brisas is where the best meal is in Turks and Caicos. Tuna Poke is unreal as well as everything from garlic shrimp, fish, deserts....My hat is off to these precious people. We will stay at Neptune Villas next time. The latte's are also the best here...

You can't miss seeing the awesome beauty of the Sound; kayak it if you can! We loved eating at Las Brisas Restaurant (near Sapodilla Bay) not only for the great food but the view of the Sound was breathtaking! Drive to the end of the road and pull off little roadways and enjoy the splendor!

not really much space to park, its in a residential area i did find a nice spot at chalk sound and doctors lane has a dead end close to water

We went to Las Brisas to rent a kayak and explore chalk sound. We discovered Iguana Island and returned for an amazing lunch overlooking Chalk Sound. Just beautiful :)

on a sunny day [which is the norm] one will not see water color like Chalk Sound anywhere else in the world. It shimmers so blue that it looks electrically charged. Try Las Brisas for lunch waterfront on Chalk Sound.

Great for kayaking and walking around the sound. It's hard to find, but really neat. This place is secluded and right in the middle of the island, so it's a neat departure from the ocean life surrounding Provo.
