We have been travelling to Provo for many years and always love to play this golf course. The improvements that have been made over the past couple of years are absolutely fantastic. The changes in design and attention given to condition have resulted in this course being the best we've ever seen it. It's easy to get a tee time, the pro shop is well stocked and the staff are great. We can't wait to go back!
Probably the most amazing golf course in the world (OK, the Caribbean)! Played the back nine and it was incredible, beautiful scenery at every turn. Great staff and a great bar and well equipped pro shop. Very nice rental clubs and great equipment all around. Hopefully next time we will get to play the entire course. A "Must Do" in Provo.
The course is actually in very good shape and is a good golf challenge. Although it is somewhat short, the wind adds a lot of distance and challenge to the shots. The course has some problems that could be easily resolved. The distance marking is very limited. There are many sprinkler heads that don't have yardage markers on them. Although the people that work there are very friendly, they don't do some of the easy things like pick your clubs up at the drop off. There is no driving range. As others have said, it is a little expensive but then it is the only course in town.On the positive side, the course was not crowded (we played 3 times at 1:00) and the pro is a good instructor. Overall we had a good experience and I would go back.
We stayed there at a villa, and it was lovely. We enjoyed a drink at the club house and the grounds were well maintained! Would definitely recommend.Only word of caution, if you are terrified of snakes, saw two considerably large ones at the entrance. The snakes kept to themselves, but if that scares you, any snake is terrifying and unpleasant.
This is a beautiful course. Very well maintained and challenging. Not cheap but about what you would expect to pay for the only course on the island. They could use a ranger to move play along but if you like golf you will enjoy this course.
Love this course but wish it was a little less to play it. $185 a round is some the highest I've paid. The course is very nice. Very challenging. My only dig on it is the cost and the lack of distance markings on it. Bring your range finder.
I played this golf cours several times in the last few years. Course condition is excellent. Pace of play perfect. Staff is friendly and super nice to my 4 year old grandson who came for 9 holes. He was given an age appropriate putter and the whole experience was excellent for all.
I play in the afternoon. Never need a tee time. The morning crowd is gone. Course is wide open. Except closed Christmas day.
One of the better courses in the Caribbean. Always in good shape. Wind makes this a difficult layout particularly on the back nine. Watch out for number 12 which always gets me with a narrow tee shot. Number 17 is a really good par 3 which is almost like an island green. Very fun and challenging.
I played four times on my recent trip. If you stay in an ocean front suite at Regent Grand you get FREE golf! If you have two players in your group, thats an amazing deal. It was great to be able to just go play without worrying about cost and rate.Back nine is much more interesting and unique (water carries, very playable white sand waste areas). Easy to play it twice. Front nine much more "could be anywhere nice", did not seem to be in as good a condition either. Course was not very crowded so as a single I was able to jump around. Course is short and you need to play target golf with the gnarly shrubs and water hazards. One of the things I liked best was being able to walk about 1 mile down the beach from Regent Village area and then cut through the "native shops" right past club med dock and walk about a par four mile to the club along the main road (across the street).Could also walk along the main street, wide sidewalks. Taxis were $8 to $12 each way from Regent Village. I brought my clubs and left them in the bag room for the week.
My husband decided to go diving and I decided to try the golf. The course played easy and I am not the best golfer. Had the whole course practically to myself. Paid for 18 holes but played 27, could have played all day if I wanted. Great rental clubs and staff was very helpful. Unfortunately had to play by myself since there was no one else playing by themselves. Nobody got to see my great shots! Had a nice lunch at the restaurant after golf. Great day overall for both my husband and myself. Except for the price its a great course, well maintained.
I'm a novice golfer and I really enjoyed this course. It seems extremely well designed and the scenery is simply stunning! We were staying at Beaches and it was a very short taxi ride away.
My husband just finished his third round of golf at Provo Golf. I do not golf, but I always ride along to enjoy the course and take pictures. This course was great. Very quiet, it was like having our own private course. The staff was very friendly, and flexible, the course is in beautiful condition. It was very windy (and some rain) on the first round, but perfect for the subsequent two rounds. Fee was $185, but special pricing for 3 rounds ($450). This is the only course on Provo. Very conveniently located near the Grace Bay resorts. We stayed at Royal West Indies resort and it was less than a mile away.
Yes the golfing is fabulous, if you can stand the heat, but then golfers are crazy people who golf regardless of the weather and a cold beer and yummies await at the 19th hole... Overlooking amazing greens this golf club offers a great venue for friends to relax after a game or for afternoon tea.
The golf course is challenging, well maintained. The Pro Shop and back shop staff are excellent. Professional, helpful, very friendly. They all make you feel very welcome at this members course
