If you are into antique shops this would be a cute town to visit. I don't care about antique shops but do love walking through the town and it is so clean looking. I recommend eating at the Atlantic Hotel and visiting the Calvin B. Taylor to enhance your experience there. Good place to visit for a day, but not any longer just not enough to do to justify a longer stay. Berlin is much prettier to visit than Ocean City and West OC which looks congested and bland outside of Assateague. I would recommend visiting Assateague and Berlin, the best parts of the county close to the Beach. If there was more to do, I would rate the town 4-5 stars.

We love visiting Berlin and walking about the town. Close to Asseteague Island and Ocean City NJ. Great small town with lots of flavor!

Berlin, Marlyand is one of my favorite places to spend NYE. The town does a fantastic job creating a magical experience for their visitors.

We visited Main Street Berlin on the way to Ocean City, Maryland, after reading that it was named Budget Travel's "Coolest Small Town." We love visiting little shops, trying the restaurants, and seeing what new towns have to offer, and Berlin was certainly cute. Several antique shops, a few boutiques, a toy store, a hotel, and several eateries. We visited in December, so there wasn't much going on while we were there. In my opinion, it was just average, but worth a day trip if you're into the "Main Street" vibe.

Berlin is a quaint small town that is very visitor friendly. The antique shops are very nostalgic and interesting. Excellent pastries in the bakeries.

Berlin Maryland was recently named America's Coolest Small Town. It is hard to mention everything that is great about this place. Just go an see for yourself.

As their slogan says, this is a lovely small town that is beautifully maintained. When my wife says that the public rest rooms are the cleanest she has ever experienced that says everything about their philosophy. Take the time to stop off and enjoy the feel of a town that knows how to take care of itself.

Even if Runaway Bride had not been filmed here, this is a great small town to visit. We went on a Saturday and had no problem with parking. There are plenty of shops to visit. It was very clean and everyone we met was friendly. Be sure to stop in at the Visitors Center. The gentlemen was very helpful and was even in the movie! There is a "tour" you can take at your leisure to see the sites from the film. We missed the farmers market but hope to make it on our next visit. If you are in the area this is a great place to visit.

Runaway Bride was filmed here. Many antiques shops with cool items in them. Allow much time for wondering. You want to begin early as things close early. Quiet, clean, Its like Mayberry.

This is the town where Runaway Bride was filmed. Several nice shops with differing offerings. Not to far to walk it all and easy to do in a morning or afternoon.

This is just a very quiet, clean and friendly town close to Ocean City MD and Assateague State and National Park. Fun to visit, great food great shopping.

Berlin boasts itself as the "coolest small town in America." It is a cool town. It is a small town. Indeed, it is in America. It is a town with many brick buildings lining the street. There are pots of flowers and plants that dot the front of shops. Comfortable benches lure you to sit a spell. Dogs bask lazily on the sidewalks. It is easy to stroll around. There are many free parking spaces right in town. You park and you walk. Many stores sell antique items. I am not sure, however, whether they are genuine antiques. They seem more like old objects that we find in our grandmothers' homes. They are nostalgic. There are also many restaurants. On the day I visited, a few of them were bustling but several were devoid of customers. Prices cost the same as elsewhere in big towns. A small town does not necessarily equate to small prices.I looked for a drugstore from the old days such as Woolworth that sold sandwiches, hot dogs, pies, hot fudge sundaes, and cokes over the counter. I did not find such a drugstore. The closest was an eatery that did not quite made the cut.A visitor center has information about the town. A friendly woman is helpful and responsive. The public bathroom is in this small building. It is fun to stroll around because it takes you back to a time when life was simpler and less hurried. It is pretty and the homes in this town are also beautiful. But, I am unsure whether Berlin is the only coolest small town. There are many lovely picturesque towns in America -- equally cool, equally small.

Deserves the "coolest small town in the country" designation, which they recently won. Lots of interesting shops, many antiques, numerous restaurants, choices from, Italian, to deli, to formal tea room, wine tasting store, coffee shoppe, and the Drummer's cafe in the Atlantic Hotel
