Great, true, large greens. No developments or homes on course - just breezes and nice wide fairways. Will go back. Small snack bar with good burgers, too, and friendly personnel.

I have been playing this course for the last several years and have noticed that it has improved every year. This year the course is in wonderful condition and the greens are absolutely spectacular. They are very receptive to shots and roll very true and fast. Perfect! Well worth the trip away from the beach and much more affordable.

Fun course! If you are a scratch golfer the tips will challenge you. If you are a high handicapper, move up and have fun. Each hole is well framed and so you will not have other folks cutting across your fairway. The greens are subtle and fast. It's nice to play a course without having houses and such crammed along the fairway. A real deal when it comes to the green fees. We will be back.

In September, we were visiting Orange Beach on our way back to Houston from the east coast. I inquired about local courses and was pointed to Soldiers Creek. Having driven to the east, I had my own clubs so I visited the course mid month. I was not expecting much. The green fees were quite reasonable and the location, though not easy to find, was accessible. What a great course! I am from Houston so we know about golf courses. This one was wide open, challenging, but not Impossible. The greens were fantasitc: not like ice, but quick and supple. If we are headed back into this area, I will definitely seek our Soldiers Creek for a round or two.

Got a chance to play this course early on a Friday morning. A little off the beaten path, but totally worth it. The road had been washed out due to rain, and the temporary road, through a field, was a little rough on the suspension. The course was in good shape. The folks working the course were very cordial and I enjoyed conversing with them. Was a single, and the locals who were out were gracious and allowed me to play through. Will definitely re-visit this course next time I'm in the area.

Soldiers Creek Golf Club is the best bang for the buck. It is a players golf course. The greens are the best in the Gulf Shores area. They are smooth and true. It is cut out of a woods but very playable. In addition to a great golf course, Soldiers Creek has a great teaching golf professional in Tom Cockcroft. Great course, Great Price. I have enjoyed every trip out to this course. The course was designed to challenge all skill levels.

decided to give the course a second look. the place is a dump. if you like weedy fairways, little grass on tees, hard, bumpy greens, and a lot of muddy bare ground then this is the place for you. how anyone would let a track like this become so poor is beyond me.

Played the course and it had both challenging and rewarding holes. Depending on the tees you play (4 options) it is all you could want. If you are looking for golf and not spending a fortune to play, Soldier Creek is for you. I certainly enjoyed it and I have played all along the coast.Steve

Played yesterday with some friends. We replayed after 18 holes and played another 9. Had a few long puts that were made, greens rolled great. Very player friendly.

decided to give the course a second look. still rather disappointing. course condition was very uneven, especially the greens. the greens are bumpy (and too fast for as bumpy as they are) and do not putt true. the greens have been painted a color that reminds me of old "putt-putt" courses with a windmill and a clown's mouth. amenities still negligible. a nice setting with a lot of untapped potential. I can't recommend soldiers creek for a player looking for a well maintained course.

This is our 6th year to come down to the Orange Beach area to celebrate our October birthdays. This year was my 40th and we decided to play a different course. This course is a great value. The greens are in excellent shape and the course is very scenic. Thanks to Cathy and Becky for taking great care of us! We played all day and into the night!

Beautiful course, nice people, not crowded, we just returned from 3 day trip, do not even play any of other courses in area any more, this course is fantastic and economical

Played this course on August 23, 2013, and even thought they had had 40 inches of rain in the last month, the fairways and greens were very good and the staff was very friendly. Will definately play here again. Green fees were very reasonable. Well worth the money!
