my wife and I stop in here everytime we go thru new Orleans. you find things that you never thought existed.plus a great selection of spices including slap ya mama.i just love this place.if you are ever in the area please stop in you won't regret it.bob and deb Ocala national forest.
Typical souvenirs but at a much higher price. Wine shop was closed when supposed to be open and other shopkeepers had no idea why.
The "Open faced Beignet" on the special board was my choice. One of the top 5 breakfast items I've ever eaten! Great service too!
We can down from Hattiesburg, MS to Sorrento for the Cajun Fall Fest in October and stayed at the Cajun Village cottage. It was so welcoming as was Theresa the owner. She made us feel so welcomed. The cottages are in the middle of the woods and completely secluded from other areas of the property, and it was so quiet in the evenings that we all sat outside in the rocking chairs on our cottage porches. The bed, was super comfortable and we all slept like a baby. It was just so cozy.We loved everything about it. Our hostess could not have been more helpful and welcoming, and the cabin was spotlessly clean.Thru the woods is a short walk to the Cajun Village. We had a wonderful breakfast at the coffee house in the Cajun village which is right next to the cabins. The little coffee house is a lovely place. Great cafe au lait and beignets ( as good as the French Market baignet). We also had dinner at the Cabin restaurant which is 3 miles away. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Very delicious and reasonably priced local cuisine. The Cajun Village had some very nice shop. The Cajun Fall Fest was very nice, just wish they had more cajun music. We still had a wonderful stay and cannot wait to go back again.

This is a great place to waste an hour or two and get some alligator pics for free. It's a local LA culture shopping village. The prices are reasonable, but the shops close promptly at 5PM. There is a cafe on the grounds that is very good. They have great beignets and make beignet sticks(we've not found these anywhere else) that are awesome! The cafe closes at 6PM we strongly suggest you check it out!
we loved all the shops and the cafe. wonderful 'cajun' collectibles and original art work. enjoyed the entire experience.
