The seafood buffet is fantastic. The sports bar hamburger is a great deal and large enough for two people!. The live music on weekends is good but there isn't enough dance floor. The biggest complaint is the smoke. I've been in smaller casinos like this before that had good ventilation, so this can be fixed.
On Monday and Tuesday are senior days. Two people can eat the the buffet for lunch for $9.50. The food is like comfort food.
It was more fun when you could walk around with a bucket of quarters and play wherever you wanted; paper tickets just don't cut it. Too many penny and dollar slots, not enough quarter ones. And no roulette or black jack tables.
When they opened it, this casino was great. Lots of jackpots on one, five, and ten dollar machines. Over time it has become a lousy payer. Now you get very low returns on your money. A lot of the regulars stopped going, and I am one of them. Rip off.
When I read the previous review before going, I imagined the casino being the size of a large living room or a local pool hall. But when I finally went, to me, given where it is, it's absolutely huge! I will say that in four times there, never won money. But then I don't put much in. The buffets are pretty durn good and so is the sports bar (got a great shrimp salad in the sports bar, give or take it had a crazy amount of salt). Mondays and Tuesdays 55+ seniors get half off a $10 lunch buffet, and it's not at all the worse buffet in the world, how you gonna beat that? (Hey, McDonald's cost more than that.) The seafood night has CRAB LEGS. Say no more, yum!Granted, if you are in your 50s, you have to look at a lot of really old people and visualize what you will look and act like and be wearing in about five minutes but other than that, it's pretty good. Good service whether eating or playing, and there's no cutthroat feel like you get at the big Shreveport casinos. It kind of feels like old home week. I even saw a Pentecostal lady there, but I am SURE only for the buffet. One thing I will say is that at other casinos I got offered free drinks while I played. Here, never offered a free cocktail, even when I've been on a machine like an hour at a time. I heard others around me offered a drink though. Prejudice against women a little? Hey, I know how to tip. Super nice employees for sure. The smoke is no fun though, arghhhh. Nonsmokers might not like that at all.
We love the money we save eating with our players card in the Sports Bar. For $1.99. Good value so you feel like you can gamble more. The buffet is pretty good also.
Enjoyed a Sunday Champagne Brunch at the Casino buffet. While the numbers of the selections are not numbered in the hundreds, the quality is very high.Excellent fried fish, very good soup, fresh salad bar. There was something for everyone & the price was inexpensive.I have been in numerous Casinos all over the US & the world, it was very nice to be able to hear above the din of the slot machines & not have to push thru thousands of people.Bathrooms especially clean & all the staff super friendly. We shall return.
This casino has all the makings of a major casino once the final plans are initiated. Games are pretty loose most of the time. The sports bar has a very good menu and excellent staff!! The buffet has improved 200% since first opening. All the casino staff is VERY friendly and knowledgeable. They allow smoking but apparently has a very good ventilation system but I hardly have smelled it. All the gaming areas and bathrooms are very clean. I'm looking forward to seeing all the plans come into 'play'!
Brochure mailed to us helped us plan our vacation. Senior Day has several attractions. Easy access from Leesville, La. Enjoyed the golf cart that picked us up from our car, rather than chosing the valet parking. Valet service was also fine, different day. All staff pleasant, friendly, and helpful. All folks made us feel like they wanted us to come back. Clean and tastefully designed Native American motif carried over to slot machines. Variety of slots and prices. Buffet was quiet, easily accessed and priced reasonably. One must try the Etouffee! NIce selection of foods from soup to dessert. We recently tried the Sports Bar and were happy with the service, price, and selection. Didn't feel like we were being ripped off. Free drinks on the floor took the edge off losing. Waiter was helpful and came back quickly for future orders. Overall pleasant experience. Took winnings and stopped by Mac's meat market, nearby on 167, which was worth the trip. Packed coolers in the car and filled them with produce and meats. Great outing and returning again, soon.
If you liked the casion size in the movie Reindeer Games or Walking Tall, and like to play about five games with 10 slot machines, then it was awesome! But a little to small for me! But heard they are planning to expand, so it should be a high five to all very soon!
The lunch buffet is very affordable and the dinner buffet has a nice selection. The bathrooms are super clean. They have a little sports bar inside toward the back, and the bartenders are great.
The casino is quite small. No video poker machines, but many other kinds of slots. Not too crowded. A small poker room, five tables. A small buffet, but the food is improving. They are friendly and are listening to their customers.
