Baker Bird Winery boasts history and unique wines. The Winery is the oldest commercial winery in the United States with its original land. It offers a unique location and is staffed by amazing individuals. They offer wine tastings, history tours, snacks and of course a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy it all in.I would highly recommend this is you like wine and history!

We have been enjoying wineries in our area and saw an ad for Baker Bird Winery that showed artisan breads, beautiful cheeses, grapes, glass of wine, etc. We had high expectations and invited some friends to join us. It was a pleasant drive along the Ohio River to a somewhat remote area. The building was very quaint - old stone construction, several fire pits with chairs, nice bar. The people were very friendly and did a good job describing the wines for the tasting. We enjoyed the wines and the service but were disappointed in some areas. First, the highly anticipated cheese tray looked like a stock Kroger tray of cubes and slices with a small cluster of grapes and box crackers. Next, the wines were served in plastic cups (we found out later that glasses were available for an additional fee). Also, some of the servers served the wines holding the top of the cup and reeked of cigarette smoke, which detracted from the setting. Overall, the winery has a nice setting and good wines and service, but the plastic cups, unoriginal cheese tray, and server etiquette detracted from the experience.

I bought a Groupon to visit Baker-Bird Winery in Augusta, KY. The Groupon was $15 for a $30 value for 2 people which included: a fruit & cheese tray for a tasting & 2 logo wine glasses (tasting separate by law but was a reasonable $5); a tour of a very historic building and cellar (with or without their Wine is Wonderful University; and the freedom to explore the grounds and wine cellar and/or relax in the tasting room with a singer/guitarist providing background music.The regular price of $30 for 2 is reasonable...for $15 it is an incredible value.
