Retro gaming, ace beers, good food - what more could you want? This place rocks!Only been once but I'll come back again and again.
I dont know about the rest of you but I grew up going to arcades. I still remember when pizza shops or the corner lotto store used to have arcade games in them. Then came the 90s and all those places disappeared. Now here is barcade. A bar with a great rotation of taps. I think they have about 20 taps. Great variety. Now here is what puts the icing on the cake. All the arcade games are still a quarter to play! Here is a list of games that I rememberTeenaged mutant ninja turtlesGauntletBubble BobbleSmash TVContra
enjoyed good tap beers playing bubble bobble and froggers. was pretty fun. nice place to visit but maybe not for several hours
We had an amazing time its definitely worth checking out! Cheap drink and arcade games fantastic night out!
Barcade is a bar in Brooklyn that combines a great beer selection with the nostalgia of old school arcade games. They have some classics such as NBA Jam, TMNT, Contra, Mike Tyson's Punch Out, and on and on and on. If you're not into arcade games it's ok, they have tables and a pretty solid bar to hang out at. The service was pretty good and the prices are reasonable if not cheap. My friends and I all had a blast at Barcade and I would certainly return.
I am so happy we journeyed out to Brooklyn to visit Barcade! We were staying in a hotel in Manhattan, took the subway out to Brooklyn and I think walked for about 10mins from the subway stop to Barcade. It didn't look like a great area but we were there in daylight and Barcade was awesome. 25cent old arcade games including Tetris and Pacman, and a bar. What more can you want?! We took a taxi back to the more familiar streets of Manhatten for only about $14.If you're on holiday and fancy straying from the usual Manhatten tourist spots, you should definitely visit Barcade.
Went in for half an hour; came out 3 hours later, giddy, grinning and full of beer-fuelled plans to open one in London. Bravo.
Not the greatest bar, but the arcade games are top notch and a blast to play. They have a great selection including several of my favorites, Rampage, Joust, and TMNT. At a quarter each, you won't go broke even if you aren't good. I remember being much better at all of these 15 years ago. The beer selection was good, including a bunch of good local craft beer but even at 7pm on a Saturday, it was a bit dead and populated with mostly the D&D crowd. Also, people tend to hog the marquee games and we ended up waiting 30 minutes to play TMNT. The bartender was also a bit surly. Maybe he isn't very good at joust.
Such a cool wee place, so cool in fact that my friend and I are still debating whether to try and franchise it here in Scotland. Awesome fun.
A great bar (with a wide selection of beers on tap) and then loads of arcade machines. There's a change machine that smashes notes in to quarters. Me and the wife caused a queue behind the Final Fight machine cos we just wanted to finish it. There's also a load of other machines and... t-shirts for $15. It's a great bar and there should be more like it.
Bar with a good selection of beers + classic arcade games (Rampage, Tetris, Arkanoid, Smash TV, Gauntlet, etc.) for only 25¢. The games even eat your quarters some times. Classic!
A fantastic bar, good atmosphere and especially if you miss those arcade video game machines. Very good selection of beer which changes frequently for your new choice. Friendly staff and a good place to hang around with friends. I went their twice during my trip.
Barcade is a refreshing throwback from the 80's and early 90's. classic video games line the boundry of this spacial pub. The beer selection is fantastic! Great place to spend some time playing vids and having a few pints with friends or alone.
Had a fantastic time at Barcade over the weekend. No where else can you find so many great video games and such a selection of drinks. The staff is attentive and helpful. The games are kept in the best shape and all for 25c! Stop in for a few rounds or give yourself a personal challenge for high scores that could last all night, either way youre in for an awesome experience!
I had a wonderful time here with friends for a bachelor party. There was an excellent selection of arcade games and a wide array of micro-brewed ales/beers/lagers on tap. My only compliant was the lack of player vs player arcade games. Even if you're "no good" at arcade games, it is fun just to look at the old arcade games with the vibrant colours and creative gameplay.
