The society is housed in a beautiful old building in historic Troy. They have a schedule of interesting programs and a very good research room. I do genealogy and made a major breakthrough on my family tree there. The Christmas Greens show every year is very nice. ( hmmm. .. The may call it the Holiday Greens Show now), but in any case, it is lovely. I am not sure if they have tours if you just stop in. It would be best to check first or it could be disappointing

RCHS is housed in the Hart-Cluett Mansion. Their greens show at Christmas time is spectacular! It is held the weekend of Troy's Victorian Stroll. Well worth a visit.
