Today, September 26, 2013, was our day to stop and have a visit/picnic at B. Foreman Park. What a pleasant experience it was - lovely day, beautiful well-kept park, and time to enjoy the beauty of the park! The grounds were exceptionally well groomed, flowers in blossom, and restroom spotless. It was memory lane at its best, having grown up in that area in the 1950's and early '60's.

We took a picnic dinner to B. Forman Park last night, up by Pultneyville. It was, once again, a very nice visit on a beautiful day. They only problem was that the park appears to be shutting down for the winter, as most of the picnic tables had been removed from the park grounds. Even the garbage cans were missing, which does not make cleaning up after yourself any easier. Still, this is and will always be a wonderful place to get outside, breath in the fresh air, and perhaps skip a few flat rocks across the surface of the lake. A beautiful place to come and enjoy the outdoors!

First date with my husband 23 years ago at this park and have enjoyed ever since. Beautiful scenary, expansive and well maintained. No swimming is only drawback. Birthday celebration today.

We did one of our semi-annual picnics in B. Forman Park today, and as always we enjoyed a wonderful time. This park is located off of Lake Road in Pultneyville, and is not a well-known attraction (thank God) to many of the residents of Rochester, or even Wayne County. A rather quiet place, it enjoys beautiful views of the lake and beach, which borders the entire park on its north side. The beach is really just all rock, but lots of fun for stone-skippers, as they are all flat and round, perfect for skipping! The park itself has plenty of tables, pavilions and building (which can be rented), and you can ALWAYS find a table. There are lots of grills available if you need one, and plenty of garbage cans to help with clean-up. As far as things to do, they have removed a lot of the kids' slides, and all that is left for the kids are the swings, which they still enjoy. But there are acres and acres of wide-open lawns for playing ball or Frisbee or anything your heart desires. One other caution about this place: it gets quite cool at times, especially of your table is in the shade of a tree, so bring along a warm sweater. Seriously, our last two picnics there have been COLD, so be prepared! This is a seriously nice place for a picnic lunch, and we will definitely return!

I like that there are shaded areas to sit in and that you don't have to worry about people drinking and getting obnoxious because it's a dry park on the water. I love the view of Lake Ontario. I haven't been there in a while but will make a point of going back this summer.

What makes this park stand out is how well it is maintained. It is spotlessly clean, well groomed, and beautifully landscaped. It is a wonderful place to have a picnic. The park is large enough so that even on busy days it is possible to find an uncrowded place to picnic. On the other hand, there are more densely populated areas where children can play together. There are ample shaded and sunny areas with and without picnic tables.Restrooms are located in the central area of the park, so it can be a long walk to them if you picnic in the secluded areas. The park appears to be constantly patrolled and safe. This is one of my favorite parks for all of the above reasons.

Very nice little park. NOTE...NO SWIMMING. Very nice for family reunions and small parties. Not much for kids unless you bring it with you.

I've visited B. Forman Park many times, and it's just a nice place to hang out. There are many picnic tables and grassy hills for picnics, and many of these have lake views. You can also scramble down the bank to the shore of the lake; this is a rockhounder's paradise because there are hundreds of red, grey, and brown lake-rocks ranging in size from pebbles to the size of my head. The playground is also very nice; there are a few swings, a few small "rocking" animals, and a couple of slides. Not too exciting, but they're great for children to play on (and the older ones of us, too!). The lodge is good for weddings and picnics - it would be a bit cold in the winter (I attended a picnic there in mid-march and froze), but the rest of the year it would be quite nice. There are also a couple of picnic shelters. The good thing about the park is that even if every available shelter and the lodge is rented, there is still room for others to roam the park. If all else fails, try heading right after you leave the parking lot, and you'll likely find some secluded quite.

This is a park in the town where I grew up. I have very fond memories of various family and church events that were held here. When we visited this year we stopped by the park and sat out on the benches facing the lake. Those who care for the grounds are obviously doing a great job, since in many ways it is better kept than I remember it.It is a wonderful place to have a picnic or to play ball.

We visited B. Forman Park for our family 4th of July picnic. Once again, this place turned out to be the perfect place to spend an afternoon and evening. It's big enough to give everyone their own table and BBQ grill, if you need one, and it offers a wonderful view of Lake Ontario. It's also a great place to go when the heat and humidity is sweltering, because the lake always lowers the temperature by at least ten degrees, and there is always a wind to keep you a little cooler.By the way, one other thing that is nice (especially this summer), is that there is no algae to stink up the shoreline, unlike several of the other local spots nearby. The waterline is so clean that several kids were swimming in the water, (which is not allowed, by the way). The only disadvantage to this park is that there is no place on the grounds or nearby to purchase food or drink, so bring a cooler along with everything you'll need.

This lovely park on Lake Ontario offers all of what county parks do everywhere, plus the beauty of the Great Lake.

B Forman Park is a lovely spot to visit, and it makes all sorts of free stuff available to the family. Parking is free, as is entry to the park. As a matter of fact, you can't spend any money here that I'm aware of.The park has lots of bar-b-q grills that are open for use, and also enough picnic table that you are almost certainly guaranteed a spot to set up your family event. There are lot of swings sets and slides for the little ones, and the entire park is set up along the shore of Lake Ontariom where you can take a nice walk, skip the flat rocks across the water, or just watch a beautiful sunset. The only caution about this park is that is can get cold and windy. It was freezing and very windy when we did our picnic there last May, and we ended up eating our lunches as fast as we could before retreating to our car. But still, it's a lot of fun, and a very scenic place.
