Very nice venue. Doesn't get the caliber of talent Mike of the old IMAC used to regularly get, but we've seen some very nice shows here since it opened. Really like going here.

I've been to three shows here so far this year, most recently Maria Muldaur. The theater, a renovated movie theater in the middle of Bay Shore, is in top condition with comfortable seating, the acoustics are great, parking is easy and there are many reastaurants close by. Prices are in the $40-$60 range for acts such as Shawn Colvin, Roger McGuinn, Jimmy Webb. It's a small venue so you're not going to get more than a few musicians on stage but if you want to see someone you like in an intimate setting, this is an ideal place. Most times I've been there, the artists make themselves available after the show.

Michele does a great job of running this small but community-focussed venue. You get the feeling that this is a hub of local entertainment, attracting some big names to a 300-capacity venue creates a great atmosphere. Fantastic customer service and often runs meet & greets with the performers, though not on the occaision with the Bangles unforunately. Worth coming from England to see, though!

This is run in conjunction with the YMCA Drama classes. My granddaughter had been in a number of plays there. I have seen movies there. it is a very pretty place and clean. I have been to shows there and will continue to go there.

What a pleasant surprise this theatre is perfect for a small venue every seat has a great view! Nice not having to go NYC all the time to see some really good shows ,

The Boulton Center in Bay Shore is a gem! Beautiful 285 seat theater in the heart of Bay Shore. I have seen movies (A Wonderful Life) concerts and comedy shows and The Boulton Center never disappoints. The location makes "a dinner and a show" a no-brainer. The acoustics are very good and the small capacity is preferable to a larger venue- much more intimate. The artist can have a conversation with the crowd- no video screens needed. Not a bad seat in the house and a convenient room to gather at the top of the venue.Never going to have the more popular artists due to its size but check the schedule- there is likely something you want to see.

I always enjoy the Boulton Center. It's a small theatre, so there's truly not a bad seat in the house. Acoustics are fine and seating is comfortable. Feels like a nice, local theatre and doesn't disappoint.

The Boulton Center is a small theater that was completely refurbished. It is a very comfortable place with excellent seating and views of the stage (completely disregard the "middle school auditorium"review comments). You need to watch their website for upcoming shows, since you will likely find one or more artists you'll want to see. Many of the acts are recognizable stars from years ago, and I have found that most of them are still quite gifted. Several times I have had seats in the first few rows, in the middle, which is a rare treat at most venues. Often, the performers connect with and talk with the audience, and comment on how much they like the theater. You won't find any current headliners in this venue, but I find that the local convenience of the theater, combined with the high quality of the performers, makes this a great place for a nice evening. There are also a number of very good restaurants on Main St. to enjoy either before or after a show.

Don't know why top artists stop to perform here. The layout is like a junior high school auditorium. The seats are super uncomfortable with no arm room. They charge you an arm and a leg, and then the "managers" of the place stand on the sides of the room and watch every move you make like you are unruly students. You take one too many pictures, they tap you on the shoulder (at the performance I was at, pics were allowed as long as no flash was used)...The place is a joke. I'd travel out of state to see the artists they book again before heading to this dump again.

The Boulton Center is a smaller, more intimate venue. The shows are very reasonably priced and every seat is a good seat. The acts they bring in are the best. The sound system is great. They offer soft drinks as well as beer and wine at their concession. After the show the artists usually do a meet-greet-autograph session. A great night out without breaking the bank!

Wonderful venue. Not a bad seat in the place. They strive to make you feel like you are in a venue located in Manhattan. They obtain class acts at reasonable rates. Definitely a place to go. Their Big Laughs show is always entertaining.

Bolton center is a great place to see a show. Its a small venue so your not packed in like sardines.Easy getting in / out of the show. They usually have some decent performers / acts you can see at a reasonable price. You don't have to spend $125.00 a ticket like Bdway. If you want to see a good show without the stress of commuting to NYC, spending a load of $$ and hassle getting in / out of the venue, go to the Bolton Center

Great venue. Always a fine concert. Not a bad seat in the house Just saw Glenn Tilbrook. He had his son with him who sings, plays the bongos and guitar. Very intimate place. Never to expensive to see someone
