Always love to stop and take a breath of fresh air every time I come home. Friendly people and a great place to go white water rafting.

There were 3 of us and breakfast was $50. I would expect at that price for it to be beyond excellent but the eggs were undercooked and the pancakes were chewy requiring a knife to cut them. Just not worth it. However, the service was good.

If you drink the water, it doesn't taste like candy. It is metallic. This was a nice break stop for a few with the kids. If you don't know the song, you should learn it (Burl Ives).

We stayed in the motel in room 124 for six nights in August. It was the perfect place to stay for riding the Paiute Trail and floating the river. It's just a short drive on the trails to Marysvale for gas and food and you can access the Paiute Trail right from Big Rock Candy Mountain. We had a large group traveling with us and some were staying in the cabins right on the river so we were able to have a fire at night for roasting hotdogs and marshmellows right on the river bank. There is so much to do there white water rafting, float trips, zip line, and 100s of miles of trail riding. They also have a restaurant on the property but it's a little overpriced.

We just returned home from a week at the Big Rock Candy Mountain Resort/RV Park. We had a beautiful spot with full hookups overlooking the Sevier River. We enjoyed some relaxing time on the lawn next to our RV watching the raft trips go by and just watching a lot of people having fun. There are lots of opportunities to have fun. We brought our bicycles and rode the bike path that starts right there. It is an old railroad bed converted to a bike path. It is ashphalt and now extends 20 miles. Ride a road bike, a mountain, or a cruiser...we see them all. We rode it to the end and back one day with a stop at our favorite little bakery in Elsinore. (we earned it) The weather was cool and beautiful....quite a contrast to home in AZ. The river trips are guided right from the Resort and go all day. We have done that several times and they do a great job.....wild ride......but safe and fun....or just do a relaxing float trip on an rasier stretch of the river. They handle the details. Stoney and his crew do a great job of making sure every ride is fun. If you ride quads, this is the place to stay. A thousand plus miles of off-road trails designed just for that....we have enjoyed that too. This RV park caters to people having fun....room for trailers and toys, showers, laundry, and nice hookups. We have met some really nice people there. Say hi to Steve and Sue who help manage the park and our good friends Joe and Lilly, who we met there....they spend a good portion of ther summer there....really good people. We are going back for a week at the end of September, and are looking forward to it. If you need even more, there is a course with lots of Zip lines. We did that and had lots of fun. If you don't have an RV....they also have lots of cabins, motel rooms, and even a full-sized house you can rent. Hope to see you there.

The food was average for the price I thought it would be better. Due to the lack of restaurants in the area I will try again.

We saw this from the launch point on our rafting trip and is worth seeing if in the area. Very pretty colors.

ATV trails are awesome but the trails to the peaks have gates installed now that limit the size of the ATV. Make sure you get the new trail map and research this before you go.

great retreat with 25 family members. The cabins were great, very updated and clean. Our cabin opened up to a deck on the river. Stoney and his guides were amazing and know how to make the adventure safe and exciting. We zip lined, river rafted, and had group activities. Already planing our next trip in august.

The drive from Kaniab [south end of 89 in Utah] to I-40 near Richfield is one of the best ever. When you encounter the BRCM you see one of the high lites of the drive. Magnificent Yellow and ochre coloring on the entire mountain.

A hit with kids, this giant mountain is right on the road and easy to see. Kids are amazed and you can get away with wonderful exaggerations about this geo strange place.

The rafting was a great experience for a group of first time rafters; however, it was a slow current and the "rapids" were few and far between. If it were not for the guide-"Buckshot," the experience would have been less than alright. He did a great job!
