What a great place to stop and take and get a snack or freshen up. There are many places to get food, but we grabbed Cinnabons and were back on the highway in a snap!
Large parking lot for cars, trucks plus busses curb-side parking for busses, plenty of clean restrooms, good selection of fast food, travel information and travel needs. Even with several busses in, the lines go fast. EZ on and off of 95.
Our bus from Washington DC to NYC was supposed to be non-stop but along the way our bus had fuel leakage so we had to stop in Delaware for 1 hour as the bus company send their team to fix the leak. so while waiting we were able to have lunch here, not so many choices of fast food though.
Took a day tour to DC during our trip to NYC. This was where the bus stopped for a break on both the way there and back.Good range of food choices, coffee from Starbucks and a handy little gift/food shop. The toilets were clean. Definitely worth taking a break here.
This plaza was an easy in and out and a great meeting place to catch up with others coming up the major highway (95). Clean restrooms, good information and nice shops for food.
Great rest stop with lots of food choices, space and pleasant service. Lots of parking and easy to enter and exit. Well worth a stop off to recharge the batteries after getting through Washington traffic.
This location has very clean and big bathroom. Also have many selections of food. I like the fact that we don't have to get off from the highway to go get gas and go to the restroom.
Like the Maryland House, this one also has clean restrooms with a lot of food choices. Parking was a breeze too. Like what Maurene_K mentioned, it's accessible for both northbound and southbound lanes of the I-95, which is big help for a lot of travelers.
This is the best rest stop on Route 95 between DC and NYC. The best feature is that it's in between the northbound and southbound lanes of Route 95, making it accessible from both sides of the highway. Great planning, Delaware! We stopped en route to Baltimore for the celebration of the 200th anniversary of Francis Scott Key’s writing of “The Star Spangled Banner” lyrics after the attack on Fort McHenry. Then, we stopped here again on the way home. There are plenty of parking spaces. The traffic flow in and out of the lot is smooth. The gasoline concession is Sunoco.Inside, everything is clean from the restaurants to the restrooms. Things are well maintained. HMS Host operates this rest stop. The restaurant selections are better than average. They include Starbucks, Burger King, Baja Fresh, Famous Famiglia Pizza, Brioche Dorée, Cinnabon/Carvel, and Popeye’s Chicken. The food is quite expensive. We balked at the prices. There is a small gift shop with a wide variety of merchandise. There are two stores: ● Z Market - a convenience store that carries travel needs such as maps, batteries, newspapers, magazines and pre-packaged food and drinks to go. There was a good variety. High sandwich prices here!● Gift Shop - a retail shop that carries iShades sunglasses, Bijoux Terner accessories such as scarves and jewelry, plus Postcards from Delaware, a brand of Delaware-made products that include souvenirs, key kings, T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc. Prices here were not too bad. My friend bought pair of iShades sunglasses that are of good quality. They were $15.00. Delaware has no sales tax. There is also the state-run Delaware Visitor Center. We got some great travel info for planning a future trip back to the region. If you found this review helpful, kindly click YES below.
This is, by and far, the nicest and well maintained rest stop I've been to in all of my travels over the past four years. There is plenty of parking and the traffic flow is decent. Just watch out for the indecent drivers. The restrooms are large and clean. Even though it was busy, there were no long lines at any of the food vendors inside the food court. Speaking of which, it reminded me of a food court at an upscale mall. Well done, Delaware!
This is a fairly nice center with a variety of food choices, but the close in parking spaces designated for fuel efficient vehicles are usually filled with regular cars, many of which have local plates. I'm guessing the employees are taking these spots.
I've stopped here a number of times either going north or hearing south for some reason this location is so convenient. Very clean and plenty of seats. Free wifi helps. Great selection of foods and coffee. Only caution is the Starbucks service is bad as it is run by HMS but coffee is good!
We stopped here twice, on the way to our destination and on the way back. The rest stop is very popular, and it's accessible from both sides of the highway. There are plenty of clean bathrooms on both sides of the building. Food selection is limited but OK. There's Baja Fresh (tacos/burritos), Famous Famiglia Pizza, Burger King, Cinnabon/Carvel, and Popeyes. The pizza is good. There is also a convenience store that sells food and drinks. The selection is pretty good. Starbucks is here also, and you can count on there being a line. There is a huge Sunoco gas station with pumps on both sides of the building.
Anytime I drive down the I95, I always try to make a stop at this rest stop. The facility is clean, the bathrooms are clean, and there are many food and snack selections. The food is expensive, but any rest stop you go to has expensive food unless your stopping at something like a Pilots or Flying J. But this is convenient because it is right off the highway!
We stopped here on our way home to Boston from Myrtle Beach. The building is nice and new and the rest rooms were surprisingly very clean for the amount of people using them. Our biggest disappointment was the cost of the food. It was outrageous, but I guess that is the price you pay for the convenience of being right on the highway. If you have to use the restroom this is a great clean place to stop, however I think if you are hungry its best to try a place a bit off of the beaten path for better food at a better price
