st. john's cathedral

First of all, I am biased, as I am a practicing Roman Catholic. During this visit I went twice to daily Mass and the liturgy was beautifully done, including the priest's reflections on the scriptural readings of the day. There is a fenced parking lot directly across the street from the Cathedral, which provides convenient free parking. While I didn't go into the main sanctuary on this visit, I've seen it before, and it's very beautiful and tastefully done. It's well worth a visit, if just to enjoy and appreciate the architecture.

Beautiful Cathedral and the choir is one of the best around. The service at 11:30 am is fulfilling and the Church extends it's reach to those in need. It is a very pleasant place to go to practice your faith.

What a beautiful place, one of the most beautiful places in boise. I am amazed at how well done this building was built. Everything in it seems so well done.

incredibly beautiful small cathedral. they dont build them like this anymore it really makes you think about the awe, wonder, & beauty of God.

This building is absolutely gorgeous! I love going in there and seeing all of the different artifacts that it has.

Great for travelers or passer-boys but not sure the parishioners are that tight of a group. I could be wrong, but it just seemed to me it was a big audience of people who don't know each other.

Went to the 11:30 Mass while visiting Boise. Very pretty church, people seemed nice. If you are Catholic you should visit.

I've attended the Cathedral for many years and am always in awe of the serene beauty found inside. You don't need to be Catholic to appreciate the stained glass windows, the painting, or the main view of the alter as you walk in.

St. John's Cathedral, in my opinion, is the most beautiful church in Boise. People are friendly, clergy is orthodox, and the music is excellent. A variety of mass times are available.

This is a beautiful church with a very welcoming congregation. It is worth the short walk from the capital to see and experience. Nice small chapel for daily Mass too.

The architecture is stunning. I was pleased that photography was allowed. I spent a couple of hours capturing photographs of the interior and was allowed to use a tripod.

Very large and beautiful Catholic Church where we attended a wedding for family friends. The inside is massive. Beautiful stained glass windows on all sides. The acoustics are wonderful.

The cathedral is a beautiful example of a traditional Catholic church with oversize stain glass windows and a full size pipe organ. It is worth stoping to see the widows, but even better if someone is splaying the organ.

Beautiful old Cathedral. If that is what you like to do on your trip to Boise to see this. It might be locked up
