We always have such a great time and lots of fun... Very relaing and awesome for nature lovers like ourselves.
We visited about 10 years ago and remember this place very fondly. Our kids (pretty little at the time) enjoyed it very much.
Awesome walk through the beautiful gorge...lots of fun exploring the different caves. Amazing rock formations and all different kinds of caves to explore!
Visited this attraction with the grandkids a few years ago, and we all had fun clambering through the subterranean rocks and "lemon squeezers". Not a place for a stout person, or one who lacks the flexibility to negotiate a few tricky passages. Very young children should be accompanied, but kids who are adventurous should have a great time.
In mid October during leave season we visited the Lost River with 2 grandchildren (ages 6 & 9) and had a great time. Go early to avoid larger crowds and expect to spend time in each area - don't just rush thru. If older or less nimble you can avoid certain tight areas as bypasses are available. Walkways are well maintained but a few places the rails protecting the walkway are a bit open so be careful not to let kids get too far ahead. Staff was pleasant.
All trails well kept and directions are clear. The river, the falls, the views are terrific. A verygood nature place to spend a few hours
Well presented, it was very accessible and informative. The youngest of our party (67) thoroughly enjoyed crawling through the caves. brilliant for children - and old children! alike
We are in the 70-s and enjoyed the approximately 2 kms walk, mostly boardwalkng. We enjoyed it, but should be even more interesting for our granchildren who would love entering all the caves. We only went into one of them.We were there shortly after they opened so we were almost alone along the route.
Very nice to visit in a nice day. Lot of stairs so take good shoes. You can go under and between huge boulders, there are not real caves. Kids can crowl in the "caves", adults will enjoy landscapes.
It is a nice trail where it takes you to a beautiful gorge and fun caves, good for healthy adults and children.
We just happened to be in the area and decided let's take a look, well it was more than worth the money and time. The woman in the gift shop, Mellie, was most informative and helpful. We would love to go again to bring our grand daughter to see the lovely caves, steps, and bird cages.... The grounds were well maintained and just gorgeous. A diamond in the rough for sure. The workmanship was top notch and we got to see some of the workers at their best. Just so hard to believe all those steps were in the woods like that. Definetly hard work to keep maintained for safety and appearance. A good idea to have a tie shoe on or hiker.
I went there with my husband and 3yo son and we enjoyed our time there. I was afraid that my son will get tired in the middle of that trip, but he really had fun going up and down the stairs, looking for caves, going inside and explore. It's really a great place to spend with the family.
An excellent walk through the woods and down into the gorge on a boardwalk that's very well thought out. They have several different places to actually go down between some of the rocks and into little caves. Be aware they're are many steps both up and down so it can be a little strenuous but if you take your time and pace yourself it shouldn't be a problem. Lots of fun.
This place has amazing carpentry for their walkways and bridges and the caves are interesting but alas you have to be quite small to fit into all of them. Very beautiful area and if you our have the time, an interesting hour or two's walk.
Enjoyed by the whole family ages 3 and up. I am claustrophobic but could still enjoy the experience with the family.
