We went to Jenkinson's Aquarium last weekend and we were pleasantly surprised by the attraction. Unfortunately a good portion of the attraction is under renovation so we weren't able to see the sea lions but my 5 children of all ages really liked it. We've been to many aquariums all over the country and, even though this one was quite small, it was clean and enjoyable. THE PROBLEM was that, as with many attractions, you have to leave through the gift shop. From the moment we entered, the staff was rude, condescending and verged on hostile. There were signs everywhere that said things like "if you break it, you buy it", even though there was very little that was actually breakable. After about a minute in the store, the manager yelled at my 15 year old daughter, who was holding a stuffed animal that she intended to buy, to "put it down before you break it!". {Really? A stuffed animal?} Despite this, we continued to shop and picked up a number of items we intended to buy. I then left the children (19, 15, 15, 5 and 4) briefly to run back to the bathroom and asked them to sit in the corner on the floor until I got back and paid for the items they had chosen. While I was gone (literally 2 minutes) they were yelled at and asked to leave, even though they explained I'd be right back. When I returned, they told me what happened. I went to the manager, Linda, to hear her side of the story and she was extremely rude to me as well. She cut me off repeatedly, yelled at me that the children were sitting in a fire lane (absolutely not true), and said something along the lines that we should all leave and she didn't care if we came back. The teenage cashier looked scared and embarrassed. All of the enjoyment we'd had at the aquarium evaporated in this gift store. If the manager dislikes children as much as she appears to, I urge the aquarium to remove the children's items and/or do some customer service training and/or offer another exit. We would have spent several hundred dollars but after Linda's tirade, the 3 older girls refused to buy anything and put their items back - I only ended up buying 2 small items for the little children. Jenkinson's guests should not be subjected to that kind of atmosphere. It really put a damper on the day.

Hi all.We live here my fiancee and I during parts of the year. We live in Brick and as a Brit I really enjoy this beach. It costs a fair whack in the Summer when its packed with people. Last yr 2014 we were charged to use the beach. My fiancee is an NJ girl and having spent time in the UK we both agree this beach has stacks to offer. It is well policied at night but as a Brit I dont feel that safe in the evening.Daytime..the sea isnt st ives but its still lovely but on a gradient so please be careful with little ones. Aquarium, drinks, food, games, clothes and apparell. Small fair ground. Very nice indeed and Point area has stunning sunsets. Parking can be difficult in summer.

This is a fantastic family-friendly boardwalk. Lots of rides for younger kids (not many adult rides). Everything is safe and clean. As locals to the area, we take advantage of the "Wristband" days when a wristband can be purchased for unlimited amusement ride usage, as opposed to paying for individual ride tickets. We really love Jenk's Boardwalk.

Jenkinson's has been long established at Point Pleasant, it has a casino and a aquarium which is well maintained and is always fun for everyone, the prices are quite reasonable for anything there and my family enjoys even though now the kids are almost 30, do not worry about the damage from super storm sandy it has all been repaired

There's always something to do year round. Of course in the summer, the rides and the boardwalk games are great. (There are deals on purchasing your tickets around Easter time. Buy them early and there are GREAT discounts!) The aquarium is a perfect stop any time of year. We actually enjoy going during off-peak times. The aquarium often hosts special events and they are quite fun. Of course, the prices for the food are high; but plan ahead and pack a picnic lunch and then just splurge on a funnel cake for dessert!

We saw this place on the TV show Jersey shore so we had to check it out. We as adults had a lot of fun drinking and playing mini golf. We also went to the aquarium which was pretty big and fun to see for the price. If I go back to NJ I will make sure to stop here again.

I did not like the hotel we stayed out. They placed us on the ocean side which does have a beautiful view but the rooms are not first class at all. Fine for families but not for us.We ate out at other places, not at The White Sands.

The rides are mainly for kids under 12 so dont expect more than a few for the older ones. The arcade is fun for all ages and the food is good. This is a nice clean family boardwalk and not to be missed. O buy your ticket books Easter weekend they are half price...

Great trick or treat event for the kids while we were there. It's nice to see everything back since the stroms.

Mini golf is fun for the whole family. The aquarium is the perfect size for little people to enjoy in one afternoon. The snacks are too many to mention but cover all the bases. The rides have one section for small kids including an old fashioned merry go round. The big kids will love all of the fast and high rides and the games attract everyone who wants to win a prize like a stuffed animal.

Great rides, games, attractions, food, and entertainment for everyone! Having to pay to use the beach isn't great but it is what it is.
