The Teton National Forest is just breathtaking! The mountains seem to shoot straight up from flat ground. We saw moose at the beginning of the forest as we left Yellowstone National Park...how wonderful to see these massive animals.
I'm going to keep this short and say that my life was changed by going here. This was a life-long dream, and it was a place I was literally sad to leave. I would love to not only come back, but even consider moving to Jackson to be nearby. I'd just have to get myself mentally prepared for the winters. If you're within a 100 mile radius of this place, you MUST go. This place is famous not only on a cultural scale (site of Toyota commercials, granola bar commercials, etc.), but is spiritually moving. Take the boat tour of Jenny Lake and also drive down Mormon Row to see the famous barn, with literally provides post card views.
The Grand Tetons are breathtaking! when we were there, less than a week ago, the mountains had some snow. We enjoyed our drive through the tetons, seeing wildlife. didn't have much time to do anything else.
Hit the back roads to see some of the most beautiful and exciting places around. Every turn provides a breathtaking and different view.
We camped at Colter Park very near Jackson Lake at the base of the massive mountain range. I can see why they are called the GRAND Tetons. Never seen anything quite so majestic!!!
It's been years since I've been there but my late husband and I camped and fished at various places in the forest. National parks and forests are some of the best things about living in the West!!
Brilliant to do the drive in this area. We had the best time and the locals wer very friendly and helpful.
Yellowstone and the Grand Teton's are breath taking. There is no other place in the world to compare.
Something to put on your Bucket List. I am so glad we made the trip from Alabama, so many things we would never have had the opportunity to see in our part of the country. It is nice to see what America has to offer and the trip was lovely
This was our second trip to the Tetons. I can't begin to explain the beauty of the nature and animals. Be sure to stop at the visitors center to receive info on the park. So much to see and to do!
The Tetons is the best of both worlds... a park where you can explore nature at its best AND where you can participate in activities (of all levels) to enjoy your experience to the fullest. No matter how many times we visit, we LOVE the Tetons and you will, too.
Natural beauty amazing. What a way to get back to nature. Highways and facilities were great. Lots of photo opportunities.
Who doesn't like a National Forest? We use them for camping and hiking of course. It was busy with hunters when we drove through there, but it's very beautiful.
We have traveled the Beartooth and the Chief Joseph is equally spectacular. While the smoke from the forest fires diminished somewhat the views, they remained a marvelous site. If traveling from Cody to YNP take the Chief Joseph to Cooke City, MT
Enjoyed so much scenic tour through this forest. Lake, trees, Snake river and wildlife were beautiful! Took so many pictures, will remember what I have seen for a whole my life. Well worth a trip go get to this area in fall to see it all. Even had a buffalo crossed the road in front of our car, you can’t experience that unless you go there. Only bad part is that is very far away from everywhere, that you have to travel through very poor looking places to get there if you are coming from east!
