The stories of the recent discoveries make everythingeven more exciting. The humanity of Dr. Lemoyne inthose troubled times... great information that is notfound in the history books in school.

Even if you are not a history buff, this is a must see. It was such a delight to see it restored (I can remember it as a store and later with the back wall caved in.) Learned a lot about the time period that I did not know that I can know share (I am a docent also). Docents could give a little better presentation, but may have been intimated by fact we were from area. Entrance could be better marked

The LeMoyne House is an interesting stop in Washington, PA. The LeMoyne family was important to the town's early years. I have always found the stories of the Underground Railroad to be quite interesting. The LeMoyne family took part in this effort, helping runaway slaves move north toward freedom. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and interesting. He was also willing and able to answer our questions about the family, home and area. There is quite a bit of history packed into this small home.

a great house to go to if you want to learn about the olden days because they even go out of there way to show how it was back then.

The museum curator was very helpful in finding the location of family artifacts from our home that had recently been bought by W and J. Definitely worth a trip.

Great history of the house, but really ties in with the towns roots. Great antiques!
