Lots of shops with plenty of choices for food and other junk you may want. Bought an amazing cheesecake that was to die for.
We love the size of the farmer's market, but it gets packed quickly! There are multiple options for fresh fruits and vegetables as well as fresh, local meat and poultry. The baked goods are a must and we haven't had a disappointing cake, cinnamon roll, or apple dumpling...ever! Booths Corner also has a lot of small shops and even some flea-market style antique/junk shops.
I enjoy booths corner. It attracts big crowds when it's open on friday and saturdays. My mom gets fresh squeezed orage juice by gallon weekly. I love purchasing fresh fruits and veggies. Stoltzfus meats are fabulous. They are expensive but you simply cannot beat the quality. I always purchase roasts-beef, pork, etc., for special occasions. Their veal chops are outstanding. There are many eateries, many of which appeal to a variety of taste from the amish diner to cajun. There are many niche shops. I've used their shoe repair shop with success. You have a store 24 k cups .75 a piece, 4 free, not the best deal but you get to pick from a variety of coffees, teas, etc. There are some shops that are oveoerpriced. An experienced shopper will be able to pick up on what is what. There is an amish bakery which has fabulous rolls, pastries, breads, muffins, etc. Again, not cheap but well worth the cost.
Its no where even close to the Green Dragon in fact not even real Amish. I mean the potato chips in the plastic bags you pay double for is accualy emptied out of a regular bag you can by at your local Walmart. Its true . And the beef Jerky you should know is wild bills store bought brand. And then pies they slap there sticker is from the shady maple bakery. the puppy mill pups are so sad to see to . Eight hundred dollar dogs Give me a break. Go to the SPCA instead. This place is way over priced and as far as there lunch meats go Dons on meeting house rd is far fresher and much cheaper and light years cleaner then Booths corners ever was. If you ever drove past this place on Thursday you would see the delivery trucks making deliveries. So much for some Amish guy driving it in on his horse and buggy just for "you"! And there fruit and farm fresh veggies are so over priced. Again trucked in. Go to your local market for better product and prices. And after all the walking you will want some real Amish cooking. No its not your imagination you did hear the microwave heating your real homemade aimish meal. Yum!!!
First visited the markets back in the '60 while growing up in Chester. The market has been expanded and replaced with new buildings to make it a very comfortable indoor atmosphere to visit any time of the year. Great variety of vendors and plenty of choices for great sit down food, too.
I was visiting from the U.S. west coast and my friend brought me here. It was a very different experience. Lots if vendors selling lots of delicious local food items. I gave into a salted pretzel and didn't regret it. I also bought some pastries that were fresh and yummy. My friend bought some prepared Italian and seafood from two other vendors. All was quite tasty. The selection is big and I recommend you stop if you are hungry and in the area on a Friday or Saturday.
If your looking for fresh produce at a great price look no further. Booths Corners is the place to be. Fresh off of the farm produce, vegetables and meats. The Jerky is top notch. Definitely try the Amish Diner in there is you get a chance. Homemade food never tasted so good.
You can get almost anything you can find at the grocery store here, but usually cheaper and better quality. The meats, fruits and vegetables are all fresh. You can find K-cups I larger quantities than other places for the same or less money and the cooked food options are mouth watering. Breads, bagels, cakes and pies are all tempting. The pizza at Massimo's is good but a bit expensive. Plan on a visit if you are in the area.
Old time 'Farmer's market with lots of quaint little shops in which to find a bargain! Clothing, antiques, novelties, fresh (and I do mean fresh!) pastries, produce right off the farm, deli's, candy, Ice cream, pizza, sit down restaurants, electronics. Coins for collectors, get your hair cut or styles, need a lamp? A carpet? Furniture? They've even got a pet store! It's worth the trip. Their deli has the best cold cuts including awesome sliced roast beef, and all at a great price. Check them out!
Visited Booths Corner shoes and went home with 4 pair. They're having a winter shoe clearance now and I bought 4 pair for 50.00. My friend bought 2 pairs for 25.00 Beautiful leather name brands. I can't wait to go back again.
If you need it, they have it. There's a store for everything there. From dollar stores to farmer's market fruit, vegetables, and meats to restaurants and bakeries, they have it. The pet store is really great! You can even get your shoes repaired, buy clothing, shoes and flea market type items. You can even buy furniture there. Not much else to say. If you want it or need it, they have it.
We found ourselves with time to spare, decided on a drive to find a treat. We heard about this market so off we went. Not usually a fan of markets but this one was a pleasant surprise. Clean, well maintained and the vendors have quality products.meats, produce, coffee and of course lots of treats to choose from. We had a great slice of pizza for lunch and enjoyed shopping at the market. Was worth the drive.
I live nearby and I never get tired of this place. It may be because its only open Friday and Saturday! So don't plan on coming here on a weekday or on the day of rest! There seems to be a store for everything in here... Must go---- Cajun Kate's!!! Don is amazing at what he does. True authentic New Orleans style cooking. Get your Jam while its still there!!! You will not regret it, and no other will ever compare!
This is a great little hodge-podge of stores. Personally, I go for the food. There are a couple of excellent butchers here, some specialize in poultry, the others in beef & pork, etc. You can find assorted veggies, farm fresh eggs, Amish specialties, authentic Greek food, Italian, Polish, baked goods, pizza, cheeses, cold cuts, etc. If you buy a lot of Keurig K-cups, 2 places here sell boxes at very low prices, plus you can pick and choose individual cups to try. The very best reason to come here though is simply Cajun Kates, absolutely authentic and extremely delicious Cajun fare. Their fried mac and cheese is incredible, their daily po'boys and gumbos are phenomenol. The popcorn shrimp are like candy. If there's any room, try their beignets, Not to be missed!
IF you can not find good quality meats and veggies here, your not looking. Additionally the nut place is fantastic! Oh the long johns in the new section, fantastic! They are not diet food. if you want to taste regional foods eat in. There is a very nice seafood shop in the far corner away from the long johns. all prices are not the same. Nor is the quality from one stand to the next. Allow extra time to shop around if u have never been here before. So much to chose from!!!!
