liked the history and nature. A great place to take the family. Have been there twice. Be ready to climb steps.

I visited this cave on the way home to NYC from Hamburg. It was a nice tour with a historical film included. You have to pay $12 to tour the cave. I felt the tour was too short for the fee. There are places to purchase souvenirs and food. Parking is plentiful and free.

My family and I went to Crystal Cave a couple of years ago and had a great time! The cave was really cool and interesting and the tour guides were very nice! After the tour we ate in the resturuant they have and we played putt putt on the course they have! Great place.

We visited this place in October, absolutely stunning and mesmerising, it is a shame though that the early explorers damaged it, it is a ecological wonder, the absolute darkness is must to expirince

My you has visited Crystal cave several times and each visit was wonderful. The tour is very educational and great for adults and children alike. Wear comfortable walking shoes and even if it is warm outside you may want to bring a light coat for the tour. It can get chilly inside the cave unless you are like me and you love cooler temperatures. The walk up to the cave is steep. If you have anyone in your party that gets easily winded you may want to give yourself extra time to walk up to the entrance. There are benches along the way. In addition to the cave there is a gift shop, mini golf course and ice cream shop. My children love panning for gems. You can purchase a bag of gems from the gift shop for a reasonable price.

I Gregory Grookett recently went to Crystal Cave over the summer and really enjoyed my time there with my loved ones. I have been going to Crystal Cave on and off since a child and it just never seems to get old. The cave is so beautiful inside. This is a great place to take the family other than the cave they also have miniature golf a souvenir shop and a snack shack as well as an area to mine for minerals which is very neat and fun especially for the kids. Gregory Grookett would definitely recommend crystal cave as a good place to go for family fun at a reasonable price and beautiful Kutztown Pennsylvania.Keep up the great work crystal cave sincerely your satisfied visitor Gregory Grookett.

The caves were not as cold as you would expect them to be which was a great surprise :) The inside of the caves is breath taking and our tour guide was very educated. Sigh definitely worth seeing if in the area

BF and I visited crystal cave , neither of us had been there since we were kids. we visited midweek so there were no crowds and we were actually the only two people on the tour. after a short video giving the history of the cave we started our tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and they made the tour interesting and fun. the tour of the cave takes about an hour and it really is amazing inside. there's also a gift shop, snack bar, miniature golf, and a nature trail. It was a nice way to spend a fall afternoon.

Dont get very excited by the very name Crystal. there is literary no crystals. The cave was good though. the Guided instructor was very nice and informative. apart from Cave they have basic Walking trails, Golfs for kids and bar-b-q places.

I had not been to a place like this since I was a little kid, so it was a neat thing to see. Our guide was informative and seemed knowledgeable. It was interesting to hear about how the place came about and was discovered. We got some cool things from the gift shop. They also have a small cafe type place and a place to get ice cream, but we didn't do anything of that. There is also a mini golf course, but we didn't do that ethier. It took us about 30 minutes to do the whole thing. There are a lot of stairs, so if you have mobility problems you may want to avoid, but otherwise I definitely recommend seeing it.

It's touristy, sure, but boy is that something to see!Don't miss one of the best things to see in Berks County while here!

A short scenic ride away (for me) is this historical geological wonder. After a short walk up a steep hill/stairs, you come upon Crystal Cave. The sights, smells, sounds within the cave are wondrous. The tour guide was informative and knowledgeable. She spoke loudly and clearly for the group of thirty we were placed into. It took us a leisurely 30 minutes to tour the cave. I would visit again. Two hours is more than enough time visit. The shop at the entrance to the attraction is filled with kitsch and thingamabobs. You can avoid that place...if you stop to look at anything you're watched and made to feel your doing something wrong. Apparently shoplifting is a major issue, based upon the signs posted everywhere.

The cave itself is pretty cool, but avoid holidays. Started with a too long film that was very dated and couldn't be heard because people let their children stomp, run around and scream during the presentation. Staff needs to let then know they must stay in their seats or leave. Same situation in the cave. The kids kept screaming or crying and you couldn't hear the guide. Also another guide went by that we could hear that sounded much more informed about the cave and geology and history than the one we had. She also had much better control of the crowd. Go with the girl.

Nice place to visit if you like geology, rock formation and caves. Very nice guided tour. Some steep staircases and metal bridge. Kids will enjoy it. The food was not bad..the usual stuff - chicken nuggets, hot dogs etc. The ice cream shop has some nice varieties. There is also a museum and panning for gems. Overall - a good summer day trip in Kutztown, PA area.
