I love The Waterfront. A little bit confusing to get to by GPS, but there is no shortage of shops, places to eat, and fun things to do like Dave & Busters, SIng Sing, and the Improv. Yes, it's all chains, but I am not snobby about that. Hard to find parking, but it's all free and you can walk.
This area creeps up on you as you drive to this area. The surrounding area is very run down so this new project is a surprise to see. The Town Center is nice to walk around and shop with the usual franchise places to eat. Large box retailers are only 2 blocks away from the Town Center. A neat place to stay and eat.
If you stay in one of the hotels near the Waterfront, you will not need to drive very far for everything that you need to survive. There are tons of shops with a large grocery store and plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Nice place if you are looking for chain restaurants and mall type stores. Nothing at all interesting though. Definitely a gem of a place for every day shopping and dining, just not a good choice for the traveler seeking a unique experience.
Whether it's shopping, dinner & a movie, a scenic walk or bicycle ride along the river this is your hot spot! All ages and backgrounds find fun here all year round.
Excellent location for shopping and restaurants. The area is a nicer part of Pittsburgh and away from the traffic of downtown Pittsburgh.
This really has everything we want in shopping in Pittsburgh. They have most of the stores my wife and I want to go to in town. We spend most of our time here, then head up the river to south side for REI and BD's.
If you can't find it at the Waterfront you don't need it. This mall includes everything from high end clothing and home goods to family restaurants, grocery stores and hardware. There's a multi-screen movie house with the latest films. There's ample parking and getting from place to place is easy.
your picture depicts an indoor swimming pool...there is no indoor pool at the waterfront unless you are possibly staying in one of hotels...however there are many stores & restaurants...some of the big box stores including macy's...very nice multi screen theater...the layout is somewhat like a giant strip mall...close by in the summer time is sand castle, a water park.
Lots of shops and restaurants ... and a very nice movie theater. Parking is easy ... especially on a nice day. The layout of the shops is somewhat spaced apart.
If you want to spend a day shopping for fashion, groceries, browsing unique shops, catch a movie, playing games, tasting beer at mini breweries and above average dining then this is the place for you. There is ample parking with security checks frequently for your safety. The stores are planned so you can walk comfortably from store to store. There some residential townhouses along the waterfront as well as some business headquarters. There are two exits one that takes you up to the Homestead bridge which becomes very congested and the lower one which exits into Homestead.
Its a great place to shop, eat and, hang out. Its definitely not the old Pittsburgh I grew up in.. Lots of changes for the better in the wonderful city of Pittsburgh.
They have a nice mix of shops. The green space is nice. They had a band and "party" for the new school year. We enjoyed the walking trail along the river. Nice selection of places to eat.
The Waterfront is a great place to go during the late afternoon to do some shopping, eat, and hang out. It is also a great place to go out at night with a few upscale bars. Dave and Buster's is also in the vicinity and is a party in itself.
Really like the wide array of restaurants and shop's. There Is also a massive fancy looking movie theatre and a Dave and Busters. All kind's of old history of the old steel town well preserved. We saw rob schneider at the improv. Good place for kid's, couple's, or even a night out with the boy's.
