A great day trip while in the area. We took our teenage daughter and enjoyed hand feeding the Giraffes. There are still several parts of the zoo being updated. When it is done, it will make for a longer revisit. It also features an adventure area where you can purchase tickets to use the zipline, climbing wall and challenge course.
Our Grandson loves the New Zoo. It is a very affordable place to take kids. Animals are very close. He loves feeding the goats. The giraffe's were awesome. If it's feeding time you can help. A very nice spot.
This zoo is easy to get in and out. They have lots of childrens activities. Great exhibits like the lion's den, giraffe's and the penguin pool! Fun for people of all ages. Nicely paved walk ways.
Definitely worth visiting for an afternoon. While small, this AZA zoo has a variety of creatures from all over the world, including quite a few endangered species. The daily giraffe feeding experience is the best around. The adventure park with its climbing wall, rope course and huge zip-lines provide more active fun for visitors of all ages, and the surrounding reforestation camp offers hiking trails and picnic areas. The park is clean and lovingly cared for, and the volunteers are cheerful and helpful. A must see in the Bay area!
This zoo is very nice! It is not really big, but has a lot to see. It is well worth your time to check it out.
Despite the cold weather, my family loved this zoo. They had a good variety of animals that all seemed to have great enviroments to live in. Due to the time of year of our visit, it felt like we had the zoo to ourselves. This made was a pleasant experience however some of the attractions were not open. Otters were so playful and loved posing for pictures. Giraffe feeding station was fun and the staff were friendly. The icing on the top of cake was that they had a Red Panda, my favorite animal that many zoos do not offer. My only disappoint was the gift shop, very small with a very limited variety of merchandise.
Brown County's NEW Zoo is a great place to take your grandchildren. The animal feeding area, easy walking trails and opportunity to see numerous animals in unique settings makes this a worthwhile visit. Don't miss feeding the giraffe.
Must see zoo after visiting Lambeau Field. The zoo offers much to see and a new adventure park has been added to keep older kids interested which includes a zip line and climbing tower.
The NEW (Northeast Wisconsin) Zoo is a great place for a family outing at a reasonable price. You'll see many of your favorite animals - most in natural settings. Like to get up close and personal with a giraffe? You can while you feed them!
Any day you can feed a giraffe is a good day! This is an open zoo with lots to see and really great for little kids to the older ones. It's just long enough to not be overwhelming and now this year a zip line was added. It's a beautiful ride to the rural Green Bay area to see the zoo. It's not expensive and never gets old. Make sure you go to this wonderful zoo.
The N.E.W. Zoo is a little off the beaten path, but is a nice size for all ages. The animals are closer than most zoos. The zoo is in the second stage of development, with a lot of room for future expansion. This is a good 1/2 day trip if you are around the Green Bay area. There is also a ropes course and zip line attached to the zoo where our older grandchildren had a good time.
The New Zoo is a bit off the beaten track but so worth the trip. We were visiting relatives in the area and met them there with our families. The zoo is beautifully landscaped and feels more like a natural habitat for the animals, such as the River Otter habitat. It's really a pleasant outing.
My review is mostly about the Zoo Boo event. We took our 3 and 6 year old boys to Zoo Boo on the first Friday afternoon/evening of the event. We got there a little after it started at 3 which was great because it wasn't busy yet. They had a local firetruck there before you got into the zoo. We got to go in it and the boys were given little plastic badges. They loved it. The kids can dress up for the event. Since we were visiting from out of state we didn't have costumes but thankfully it didn't matter. The staff gave the boys treat bags and they went up to different tables to get candy and other gifts. Some of the enclosures didn't have animals in them and a couple areas were roped off. We were disappointed the penguins were not out but that happens at any zoo. It is a small zoo but it was nicely maintained. I was impressed by the number of big cats they had. We payed $10 a person for the event. If you want to do a festive Halloween event I thought the NEW zoo did a pretty nice job. Only one area had a somewhat gross Halloween themed set up. Which was pretty out of place compared to the rest of the pretty tame decorations. They had a hay ride too but we did not take that because it sounded a little scarier than our boys might like at their age.
Our group got a brief tour which provided some information you would not have known. The place looked a little worn but the staff were busy decorating it for Halloween. Sometimes you wonder how many captive animals they are if you take all these type of places in the world and add them up.
Having been to the zoo as a child, I had some really good memories. My husband and decided to bring our children last weekend despite it being pretty chilly. We had a GREAT time! The zoo was decorated a bit for Halloween, but not with anything too scary for my youngest. This is a smaller zoo but that just meant we could take our time and really enjoy seeing all of the animals. I think the zoo has a good layout and plenty of play areas for kids. We enjoyed reading the animal facts, feeding the giraffes and the animals in the farm area.Another perk to this zoo is the price is just right. I have been to zoos that charged more than double what the New Zoo does! Pack up your kids, plan for at least a couple hour visit and stop in the restaurant for a reasonably priced snack or lunch!
