pepin depot museum

A nice way to acquire some local culture. The museum is small but the museum docent is larger than life ... She has many stories and memories of the depot, colorful characters who were associated with railroading, and local history. Not your typical museum but a nice change of pace. Free. Ample parking.

If you are in Pepin and are a Laura fan, it is an ok stop. Nice little gift shop. Museum seems new but not much information about the items in there. We took a drive to the Little House wayside afterward. Good experience for families who like the Laura Ingalls Wilder history.

The Pepin Depot Museum is a fairly typical small town museum. It has interesting artifacts and information about the area and its famous one time resident, Laura Ingalls Wilder. If you like a small, quaint museum, you should pay them a visit.

Interesting little museum with a wonderful elderly woman who shared the history of the area. I was a bit confused because there were a lot of things for sale that you would see at a thrift shop, Somewhat odd and out of place but a nice stop on our trip for Laura Days.

Nice little train museum in restored Depot Building. Located in a park with restrooms, kids play climber and picnic tables. Ruth ( a spry 88 year old) tells you all about the trains and their history around Lake Pepin. She had lots of stories to tell and even does a few skits. Hours (at least when we were there) are on Friday, Saturday & Sundays. We had a great time!
