Going to a Wisconsin Timber Rattlers game is a great way to spend an afternoon or evening in the Appleton area. Tickets are reasonable, there are plenty of promotions and fun features surrounding the game, and the food & drinks (typical ballpark fare) are not terribly over-priced.

In this day and age, it's nice to find an affordable option for family and friends to get together and the T-Rats games are an excellent choice. There are a lot of options for seat pricing and they really focus on entertaining the kids. It is also a great option for a larger size group, such as a company party or large family gathering. Worth checking out!

This is one of the Milwaukee Brewer's minor league teams (low A). There have been players here that have made it to the Big Leagues. Some times big leaguers are here rehabing so they can return to their team. The staff and volunteers work to make everyone feel welcome. Seats are wiped off before each game. This is a very clean park. A great place for kids and adults to watch baseball. Easy access from Hwy 41; close to the Fox River Mall. area.

My wife and I went to a Timber Rattlers game on Sunday Aug. 24, 2014. We typically go to one or two games a year and I thought it should be listed as an “attraction” in the Appleton area in TripAdvisor. We know the park as “Fox Cities Stadium” but I see that it’s now using the name “Neuroscience Group Field”. Going to a baseball game here is a breeze. I typically order my tickets on-line and print them at home so getting into the game is easy. Parking is only $5.00 and you’re always close to the park. Because the park is small, compared to a major league park, the number of cars there are minimal, so both “in” and “out” time is simply not a big issue. I love the fact that you can get great seats for a relatively small amount of money. Our seats for this game were behind the visitor’s dugout- 1st row- and cost $13.00. You are “right there” in terms of the action! Of course, you also have to stay alert to foul balls! Now on this particular day, we had not one but two examples of great customer service. I spoke to an usher as we were coming in about where to get a good beer [not a fan of the “light” beers]. He asked where our tickets were and said we were eligible to visit the club level- and that we could order beer and food there and enjoy the view of the field. I had no idea of this “perk”. So we went up to the second level and we each had a large beer [$7.00 each, I believe] and also ordered food. The tables closest to the windows were already filled but it was still a nice view of the field and ballpark. Our food was pretty good. My Cubano Sandwich was very good. My wife had the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Sandwich which had some heat in it- which she liked. We also had deep-fried cheese curds- kind of average I thought. The bill for the food was $24.50 before tip. Then, one of the ushers in this section asked if we would like to get upgraded to seats in the club section. There were 2 rows of seats right outside of dining room and we were able to enjoy the game from there. Obviously the seats were higher up and farther from the field than our “front row” seats but the view was excellent and you could easily and quickly step back inside for something to eat or drink, use the restrooms, or enjoy the air conditioning in hot weather. I’m glad we took advantage and thank the Timber Rattlers for letting us check them out. The Timber Rattlers also do a nice job of entertaining between innings- races, contests, free “things” they toss or shoot into the air- sometimes silly but always fun. The baseball game itself was entertaining and we stayed until the end. Rattlers lost 4-2 but hey…The key is that this is a fun thing to do for an individual, a couple, a group of friends, or your family! Whether you’re a baseball fan- or not- I recommend you take in a Timber Rattlers baseball game- although their home season is now over for the year. See you in 2015 though!
