walter p. chrysler boyhood home & museum

The museum had gobs of original artifacts. Walter Chrysler was a unique innovator, mover and shaker. The museum entry fee was very reasonable at $3 for a senior. The docent was very knowledgeable about the man and his achievements. A must see!

Our guide was very knowledgeable about Walter Chrysler's life and career and we thoroughly enjoyed talking with her. Museum has many artifacts from Chrysler family and corporate history, all well organized and preserved. Who knew that Chrysler had a space division and made the Saturn boosters? Home is also interesting with period furniture, much of it used by the Chrysler family. Only bad thing was the display of Chrysler vehicles around the buildings. The museum does not have enough money for a building to preserve them and they are not in very good condition because of it.Tour starts in the museum building behind the home. The home's front door is locked.
