Love this park with its view of the water, walking/running trails and Woods Coffee. Great for people watching, quiet contemplation, attending concerts and general relaxation.

Go here often in inclement weather and have coffee at Woods while watching the view! Like the view of the water and the general area of the park. Great on a sunny day, too! Lots of college students come here as well as families.

The train runs right along the park which is exciting to our granddaughter. There is a nice beach area and a very nicely designed play area. There is a small coffee shop that has fantastic views over the bay.

Love the new playground and the Woods Coffee that is next to the playground. The upgrades to the park are great. The area is great for walking & biking. Family friendly. On a nice day though, parking is ridiculous. Really love this location and park.

Boulevard Park is clearly a gathering place for the locals (affectionately known as Bellinghamsters), and for good reason. This oceanside park looks out onto the islands of Bellingham Bay and towards downtown Bellingham. On a clear day, walkers have views of the islands, city, and the Canadian Cascades beyond downtown Bellingham. With great beauty literally in every direction, it is no wonder that this park is well-used by dog-walkers, bicyclists, moms with strollers, and people of all ages. Boulevard Park is also a great place because it's not just a patch of green. It has picnic tables, a small beach for kids to play on, restrooms, and a Woods' Coffee House (a well-respected alternative to Starbuck's). It also connects to the Taylor Street Dock via an overwater boardwalk that leads to the Chrysallis Hotel, and beyond that to a footpath that leads to the shops and restaurants of Fairhaven Village. I've enjoyed making a loop from Boulevard Park to Fairhaven Village and back in approximately 70 minutes at a fairly leisurely pace: and along the way, there are ample places to stop and have a treat or window shop. In my opinion, Boulevard Park is one of the best reasons for living in Bellingham.

Just a beautiful setting for families, singles, and romantically inclined. A truly photograhing opportunity.

So beautiful looking over the tranquil water to the islands. Turn your head a little and you can see the Cascade mountains with snow on the peaks. Quiet even when there are lots of people there. The summer convert series is really nice.

scenic, well traveled and miles of walking opportunities. The walk to the right follows water on cement or wood sidewalk; to the left, more of a tail.

This park was a great attraction as it was right on the water and had lots of interesting rock formations, beaches, a small outdoor amphitheater. The decks and piers were great and we walked from top to bottom on the beach and enjoyed all of the ocean vistas and views of historic Bellingham

Very well described already in other reviews. We really liked the boardwalk from which there is a beautiful view of the Bellingham bay. There is a washroom along the way at the top of the ramp. It is wheelchair accessible, although it may be a little steep on the ramp going down. It is worth the stop.

There is nothing to dislike! It has something for everyone: play equipment for children; beach; access to the boardwalk (another jewel in the crown); green grass; a terrific coffee shop; a killer view of the bay. We are so lucky to have this place to enjoy.

This wonderful park, consistently the favorite of locals, was carved out of a number of old industrial and railroad properties at the impetus of the "ladies of the YWCA" and Bellingham's biggest old Rotary Club in the 1970's when everyone agreed it deserved to be a first-class property, and it is a jewel! Connected by pathways to the City's wonderful "Greenways" web of trails, it is always busy with walkers, bikers, joggers, sun-bathers (if there's sun) and on many weekends, events like free entertainment and car or folk music shows, etc. Why is it so popular? Of course, the gorgeous views of the Bay, the mountains, and the fresh air, but also the convenient Woods Coffee Shop for warmth in the winter and "coolth" in the summer. Try visiting the park by walking on the waterfront path north from Fairhaven (maybe a mile round trip) or, on a Spring-Summer-Fall Saturday, with a walk south from the wonderful downtown Bellingham Farmers Market at Depot Market Square: any 'Hamster will point out the route for you! Be on the lookout for herons, eagles, and be sure to stop on the roomy boardwalk and esplanades to check for otters and other sea critters: if you see a stopped group of strollers, find out what's distracting them! Ask a local to tell you about "Tin Rock" or "Star Rock", and learn more about this historic waterfront area; you'll begin to appreciate the great history of this town, once the center of a huge fishing and timber industry.

If you want a place to walk, sit, people watch, jog, walk your dog, live like the locals, let your kids play, let your dog romp in the water, grab a cup of coffee or hot chocolate, read a book, take a nap, ponder the mysteries of life--this is the spot. College kids, rich retirees, hipsters, bohemian folks old and young, joggers/walkers, dog-lovers, families with kids, you name it--add a fabulous sunset, clear water, and one of the best views and locations in all of Bellingham, and you've got this place. SO very good. GO. Rain or shine.

Boulevard park is a great place for families. You can let your kids play on the nice new playground they just redid. You can go to the beach or for a walk along the pier. They have a coffee shop there so you can stop and get some drinks and a snack.

Beautiful park has long, wide stretches of grass and a pathway right along the ocean with fabulous views of the bay. A perfect place to go for a walk, run or have a picnic. The pathway connects Fairhaven to downtown Bellingham and is open every day from dawn til dusk.
