Would have loved to take a week end class but didn't have time . The lady was welcoming and showed us the craftsmen working on his piece . They have beautiful displays . And if you choose to do a project they have unfinish pieces .

This glassblowing studio appeared on a map provided by our hotel. It's in Pioneer Square. It was absolutely amazing to watch the craftsmen do their work - we were mesmerized by their skill for upwards of 45 minutes. They sell many blown glass pieces, but also have a large viewing area for watching the artists. Well worth a visit!

Took the 6-week Beginner course and it was absolutely fun, amazing, and challenging. Four hours every week with the teachers (Amy, Will, Megan, or Mike) who were each super talented, patient, helpful, creative, inspiring, friendly, and nice. We learned safety, the basics, how to gather glass, adding color, shaping, how to blow glass, transfer glass (punting), adding bits, and especially teamwork - learned something new every week, and created a project of our choosing. The hot shop is great and the store has gorgeous artwork.

The instructors are great, very friendly and hands-on. There was a strong emphasis on safety, appropriately so. The instructors helped with the more advanced techniques and let us focus on turning the glass, gathering color, and blowing it. They shipped our pieces to us for a very reasonable fee and everything arrived safely. We even bought a couple of pieces from the gallery, which we were free to wander through during class downtime. Beautiful glass and a very fun class!

I dallied a few minutes to watch a glass blower at the back of the shop, where the real work begins. The molten orb took colour and shape as I watched - I wish I could have stayed longer to see the finished article.

It is fun to watch expert craftsman make breathtaking glass objects here. The owner is very friendly and attentive. Though plan to pay big bucks if you want to buy something.

I was looking for a birthday present for my mum and the studio had so many options! The lady was super nice and helpful - until she found out I wasn't spending $300 (hmm!) then she became a bit rushed. But got a great product, so was happy

Art studio opened to the public, offering classes in glass blowing. Very artsy studio, inspirational and looked like it would be a lot of fun to work in.

We watched as 2 artists were making a bottle of swirled colors - very interesting to watch how it is done, and how muchg work and sweat must be involved. The whole shop is packed with gorgeous hand blown objects: chandeliers, plates, bowls, vases, pendant lights, on and on. My favorite piece was a huge and unbelievable chandelier made of swimming fish, lit from inside by very small lights that just showed off the details and blew me away.

I bought a groupon that allowed my wife to be shown how to blow a glass bowl. It was a highlight of our trip. The amazing thing is how much you actually do yourself. She got to turn the class in the kiln, dip it into the colors to tint it, and blow into the tube while the artist/instructor shaped it. She really felt like a glass artist. Our instructor was a natural teacher, and explained how to be safe and successful. The atmosphere is very casual, like the working studio it is. Well worth it. a truly unique experience!

A great place to browse around or buy a handcrafted decorative piece. Plan on spending at least an hour, if you hope to see it all.

This is billed as one of the "musts" when visiting Seattle, but I'm at a loss as to why. I was under the impression you could go there and watch "master glass crafters." However, all we saw was a couple who paid to take a class.

We were visiting Seattle and had to walk past this place everyday on our way from our hotel to some major attractions. We decided to go in one day and check it out. It was neat to see all the amazing local glasswork. And by local I mean LOCAL! They make it all there! The "studio/factory" is right in the building - which they invited us back to take a peek. It was neat to be able to witness the process. We will definitely be signing up for a class next time we're in town! Worth popping in to!

A friend and I did the blow your own glass class at the studio and had a great time. Our instructor Mike was great, told us everything we needed to know several times and took away any anxiety about working with extremely hot glass and in an extremely hot and potentially dangerous environment. I made an ornamental globe while my friend made a bowl, it was really cool to see the difference in the techniques used for the different objects. I would highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't have a glassblowing facility in their own town.
