lang's horse and pony farm

We had a very enjoyable time at Lang's Horse and Pony Farm. Our four year old was in absolute heaven riding solo at the front of the pack atop Princess Amy (with help by Cowgirl Emmeline). We were a little skeptical about her riding alone but Emmeline made sure she was comfortable and safe. She was especially gracious in indulging out little one in conversation during the ride. Very sweet. We arrived early and were welcomed by the staff to check out a family class in session as well as hang out with stabled horses. The grounds are immaculate and the horses seem very well taken care of. The staff there was very warm and genuinely friendly and happy that we were there. There are many places to picnic and wash your hands after a hard day on the trail.They mentioned that they offer plenty of summer classes, mom & me classes, private trail rides, etc. We are definitely going to keep that in mind. Apparently the summer classes fill up as early as December!Most definitely recommended as a relaxed family outing.

Our guide Natalia was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She was also incredibly patient when some of the group didn't pay attention as well as they should.The instruction was great (especially for an "urban" group like ours). The location and trails were beautiful and we lucked out with the weather. The one downside is that they ran out of water to wash hands. The did have Purell though.An all around enjoyable time.

I really enjoyed my ride this weekend. It was a beautiful trail and the horses were well behaved and well taken care of. My friend had no riding experience, and the staff made her feel very safe. I highly recommend it, and I will be back to take there advanced ride.
