lots to choose from... lots of different tours to choose from... wish we had chosen fishing but our skipper Scott was really knowkedgeable and showed us places in interest around the island and he found 3 pods of dolphins that surrounded the boat..it was mating season...talk about 50 shades of grey

Some lovely handcrafted items, art, children's shirts. All items attractive, not cheap-looking, prices are reasonable.

We were sent to Afishinados by my husband's sister in Orange County. This was a serious shopping expedition for wall art found by my sister-in-law. She found this wall art but didn't make the purchase months earlier. While visiting Avalon, we were on a mission to find this piece of art with a description of the store, the wall art and unbelievably we found it. This hunt for the "perfect" piece resulted in a gift to our Orange County sister and hangs proudly in her home.Love this store, the unique pieces of art and fun experience it is to shop here. Highly recommend for truly unique art. Success!!!

As mentioned by another reviewer, once you have made your must-buy Catalina souvenir purchases, stop here for some serious art – yet even some of it can be very whimsical. Karen has collected pieces from many wonderful artists and her shop is a true delight. We made some purchases for our patio and had everything shipped to our house – the packaging was the best I have ever seen. Everything arrived in perfect condition.

Karen King's. Afishinados is my first shopping stop in Avalon whenever I'm on island. Everything is handmade by Karen and local artists (nothing made is a factory or if China).Her store is as clever as its name, with all items "fishy" and unique. I can spend hours there and still find something I haven't seen in a corner. Not only can you buy fun, fishy artworks, but Karen also tells you about the artists. Not your usual souvenir shop- -although she does stock t-shirts and ashtrays. A must see for anyone who enjoys handcrafted art and/or loves fish.

If you're looking for something more than t-shirts and shot glasses this is the place for you. Unique gifts abound. I purchases a few bracelets made by a local artist - they are exquisite and classy. I always enjoy finding something special and made from the locals. Very much enjoyed my experience in Afishinados!

This art studio has by far some of the most unique art work by local artists. There is something for everyone and for every "pocket book". It is located on Crescent Ave. towards the Tuna Club and well worth a visit. Karen will answer any of your questions on the art work or artists. Absolutely a must see. You also need to check into their charter tours, especially on the Catallac (John and Karen's new catamaran).

We passed by several times and were glad that we finally stopped. The neatest art by local artists. My husband loved the artist who made fish out of wood using the natural grain to emphasize the form of the fish. I loved all the different representations of fish in art.
