The picture perfect surroundings, the quiet and restful location makes one desire to be back so soon after parting.

We visited both Seaside and Cannon Beach before traveling to Manzanita. Manzanita's beach is much less crowded and offers more potential for beach-combers to find something worth keeping. My first 10 minutes there I found three whole sand dollars and in the past I've found live crabs walking around. There's also more parking available with minimal walking.

Such a lovely place. There are many rentals to accommodate any group. This time we stayed on the north hillside over looking the beach! We walked the town and the beach from our rental.

Whether you want to ride a beach cruiser bike or just walk or run on the beach this beach is 7.5 miles long. Kite surfing is popular as there is always a wind blowing and room to run with kites on the beach. A favorite for dog owners given the expanse of beach to frolic with your dog. Kids love the beach, lots of sand castles and holes being dug. You can build bonfires on the beach for your s'mores. The Main Street of Manzanita, Lenada, ends at the beach. A walking town with shops, restaurants and a wonderful walking golf course. Close to Nehalem State Park so if you are a camper a town close for those groceries you forgot to bring.

Wide, clean, beautiful. Beach runs for miles and miles. As it is Oregon, the water is cold and the weather variable.

Manzanita Beach is one of the prettiest beaches along the Oregon Coast and is a lovely place for a relaxing beach walk. The little town is less than a mile off Highway 101 and about 15 miles south of Cannon Beach. There are a few places for lunch and a great coffee shop just as you enter the village on the right, We always stay in Cannon Beach and always take the drive to Manzanita for a bite and a long beach walk with our doggies. It is really a great place to visit.

This is home for me and I can always count on Manzanita to deliver more of the same and usually something new - as the tide changes so does my hometown. Manzanita has something for all ages and tastes. What never changes is the serenity that comes over me rounding Neakahni Mountain on Hwy 101 from Canon Beach! A great little hike up the mountain - my mom made it with little effort at 70! You have to stop by and get the best Chicago Dog west of the Windy City! Say Hi to Jim & Lynn Mudd - tell the Humphreys sent you. Your visit wouldn't be complete without trying out a microbrew and some fried oysters at the Sandune Tavern. Shops line both sides of Laneda - the Main Street thru town. Rent beach bikes and/or horses and frolic in the surf. My girls would tell you not to miss playing in the tide pools near the base of the mountain at low tide, See Kevin at the Manzanita Golf Course and play a round of 9 or 18 - a beautiful scenic course on every hole. Wave to the Wilkes' when your on the 8th green. As for me, I prefer finding s secluded spot in the dunes where I can just sit and take in the crashing waves - that is when I feel I am home once more...

It's New Years day, 2015 and there are a sea of people walking on the beach here in Manzanita. lots of dogs running in the ocean along with some Polar Bear Challenge people. Neahkanie mountain keeps the wind from most of the beach so it is very pleasant to be out on a walk. The locals do a good job of keeping the litter off the beach so everyone plays a part in keeping it pristeen for all of us to share.

I visited in November, which is hardly beach time, but it was still lovely, even with the rain and clouds. The town is right there, and it was just beautiful. Not much to do though, other than the beach, some spas, and then some shops.

We love Manzanita Beach and the lack of crowds. Manzanita may not be a quaint as Cannon Beach, but for a retirement community with a fantastic beach, this is tough to beat.

Love this beach! On the eve of 23 October, there were no more than 4 people aside from us as far as we could see!

Something special about this place. I've been to beaches all around the world, but we keep coming back here. It's mystical, it's magical, it's where unicorns were born.

Great nine hole course with great scenery and views. We stayed at a place called 3ONE8 in Manzanita through vrbo and it was on the 6th green. Highly recommend that cool pad as well.

We love this beach- super laid back, dog friendly (please pick up after your pooches) and kid friendly. One of my most favorite places in Oregon
