Although the hours are limited this little piece of east county offers some interesting history. Love the pictures and the building. Easy walk through and educational.
My husband and I found out there was a historical walking tour in Gresham and it started at this museum. On the stairs of this museum, the guild told us that this building, (built in 1913) was one of 25 out of 31 public library's in Oregon that was built with a construction grant paid by Andrew Carnegie, (a philanthropist). We have the Tudor style, which is much different than most of these public library's. TThe library closed it's doors in 1989, and was added to the national register of historical places in 2000, and in 2012 opened it's doors once again to serve as our Pioneer Museum.Since this tour, we have taken some of our grand children here, to see things they have not seen anywhere else.
Unless you are from here, I don't think it would thrill a visitor. It's about the history of this area. It's close to the river, and the train. NOt all people are into that kind of thing.
