Downtown West Palm Beach is a neat place for a couple of hours for those who want to see how the one-percent lives. Expensive boutiques, really fine art galleries on the main street and tucked away through alleys and alcoves, and streets lined with Bentleys, Rolls-Royces, Aston-Martins, and their much poorer cousin Mercedes-Benz makes a visiting 99-percenter feel like a peeping Tom. But, hey, it's amazing, and, when it's over, it makes you appreciate home.
Worth a look see...Clematis and shops and Cityplace and shops are worth a trip. Great to walk around and the trolley is great.
If it wasn't for Clematis Street, there wouldn't''t be any reason to go downtown except for the governmental offices.
Hustle and bustle of people, good restaurants, now some coffee shops and bakery's open late. Bars, music, dancing, for anyone.
If you're younger and want to hang out, it's rather fun. I feel a bit out of place at the bars, because the younger crowd hangs there. I don't much like the traffic, but there is a big parking garage, so no worries about finding a place to park. The fountain is great entertainment for the young kids and it's really fun to sit and watch them!Always worth it ti check it out once or twice and then decide if it's for you or not!
The whole area has made some mak=jpr improvements over the year as more money and bigger and more expensive buildings have been developed. Now a great deal of money is coming into the town and the choices are a lot more. Several large fairs are held downtown to attract even more folds to the area.
OK, you've been to the Flagler and to the Norton.. Now what? For a real change of pace, how about vintage & classic automobiles? Checkout Ragtop Classic Cars (420 Claremore Drive) and see displayed and on offer an array of Buicks, DeSotos, Model A Fords and much more, all from "back in the day." "Dream on!"
Not sure if that is spelled right but I love the downtown Worth Ave area. Just like to window shop and see the people
We liked the open design of the center, the balanced mix of shops and restaurants and the fact that it was not too big. We also liked the sale bargains!
There was gridlock traffic and limited parking options downtown during the evening. We opted for valet parking.
My love wife and I went to BB king and the food, service was great! Music was very appropriate. All of the stores are fabulous, ossa great place for shopping! Highly recommend it!
Love this city.Lots to see and do here. Many restaurant s,lots of malls and shopping. Dog track,Day Cruises, and the famous Flagler Street. Million dollar homes. Such a beautiful and interesting city.About 2-3 hours to Disney.
Check out Revolutions on your next journey to city place. I visited on NYE first time and was favorably impressed. Spacious and still have that new look and feel. There was a live band playing 70's music, my genre and they were very good. We had pizza which was tasty. A great place to chill and watch sports or bowling game.
There are lots of restaurants and small places to eat. There are interesting stores as well. We mostly enjoy walking down to the water and watching the boats on the Intracoastal waterway. Something for everybody.
we saw some awesome cars! they have some nice little shops along the way. Take the free shuttle and relax !
