new smyrna beach dog park

Go early if you're going to go. this is a very well maintained park but very little parking so go early. Your can fish and swim here, just watch the currents.

Went with some friends who took their lovely dog, Gunner. Loved it! The beach was clean and well taken care of. Friendly people and their four legged children lol.

Great for the dogs, they can swim and socialize with other dogs. The walk is really great along the wooden walkway leading into some easy trails to the beach.

Great atmosphere even if you don't have a dog! A smooth get away from the hustle & bustle of regular beachside. It's a must for some quiet time on the water.

The dog beach is in Smyrna Dunes Park. You can get in without a charge after 8 p.m., if you drive there and are an evening person. There are multiple stations with disposable plastic bags if you forget your own. If your dog is unable to walk distances, use the first trail to the left which gives you quick access to the beach. We see dolphins here regularly. Our dogs love it!

We stayed two nights at the free city dock and thoroughly enjoyed it. Went shopping in the main street and spent over $500. on stuff we needed.

The dogs love it but it is quite a walk from the parking to to the dog beach - my dog likes it there and has a lot of fun despite not being too keen on going into the water very far. She went off the path and got some stickers in her paw - bring bug repellent as well as the mosquitoes can be pretty aggressive especially in late afternoon along with some water for the hungry pooch and yourself. Nice view of the lighthouse and the entrance to Ponce Inlet.

A beautiful view and great place for a walk. It is so nice to have this option for dog lovers. Even without a dog, it's a great place for a walk to the jetty.

My husband and I went to the park last week. We were really psyched as well as our 6-month pup. We started walking on the water's edge one way and low and behold, some one had their large dog on a leash, but instead of holding the leash, they were laid back in their recliner and throwing the ball into the water for their dog to chase. We turn and go the oppisite way, same thing the other way. Every time we would go some place there was a dog on their leash, "but no owner holding the leash." After paying our admission fee, we left within 45 minutes. Very upsetting. Our dog is a pit bull that we are trying to keep dog- and people- friendly so I am not worried about their dog hurting mine, but I don't need any more horror stories about pitbulls attacking when others are causing the problems and we are trying to be reponsible owners. Please let's follow the rules as they are meant. Hold on to the leash when your dog is on the other end! P.S. Rangers need to patrol and enforce the rules a little more diligently.

Beautiful area to take loooong walks to the beach. You can walk on the beach or use a boardwalk through the dunes. Very cool place. They are long walks to the beach. And it is a "dog" beach so be prepared.

Nous avons 2 chiens et nous avons trouvé un parc à New Smyrna Beach qui est spécialement conçu pour accueillir les chiens , très belle plage , très propre , ils fournissent les sacs pour les besoins de nos animaux , il y a même des douches pour laver nos chiens qui se sont baigné dans la mer , un endroit pour nos piknic et la pêche est permise, très grand stationnement .
