It was small but educational. Call and find out when they do the tour. They introduce u to all the animals and tell their story and u get a history lesson. Great for kids.

Great place to take the family and check out all the leatherbacks and other various turtles that they are either nursing back to health or taking care of as they can't live in the ocean due to injury/sickness/etc. They have an awesome festival (I believe) in April. We happened to be there when it was going on and it was a really 1st class event with food, vendors, freebies, kids games, carnival games, arts & crafts and other interactive activities.

Not to be missed! Happened upon this turtle hospital while staying in Juno beach. Staffed with volunteers who know everything about turtles. I learned not only about turtles but the health of our oceans from tracking these turtles. Windows to the hospitals area let visitors view medical procedures. Releasing a turtle back into the ocean is a media event. I was informed that this area of Juno beach is the largest nesting area in the world for turtles, place was very cool, must visit in Juno, great for kids and adults.

This visit was a real treat! I have always been interested in sea turtles but knew nothing about them. At the Loggerhead Marine life Center my husband and I saw several types of sea turtles in their care before hopefully being released back in the ocean. The volunteers on hand were marvelous: they spent a lot of time describing to us the different types of turtles we were seeing and explained why they had been rescued. In the evening we returned to the Center to hear an informative lecture (given through skype) about spinner dolphins along the coast of Hawaii.

Friendly staff, lots of information on turtles. Interactive kiosks, and a fantastic gift shop. The tanks out back have different sized/age turtles being rehabbed. The treatment rooms have large windows to observe through. We saw a turtle receiving fluids through an IV. After the turtles are rehabilitated they radio tag them and they can be tracked on a computer. One swam back to New Jersey after he was released. A great activity for kids that lasts longer than the visit.

We visited this place on a whim and it turned out to be a wonderful place to go. They have a small museum with a lot of hands-on things for children, but the best part was getting to see the sea turtles who have been rescued and are being rehabilitated. Many have been injured by boats or fishing lines, which I knew about, but what I didn't know was that many head north in the spring and then get disoriented on their way back south in the fall. Many of them are recovering from frostbite and what they call being "cold-stunned". It was also very cool that you can follow each turtle's recovery online. The staff was extremely informative and friendly. The fee is a "suggested" amount.

This was a super activity to do with my kids. They loved seeing the turtles and they were able to be Jr. Veterinarians where they learned to measure and diagnose their rescue turtles. The gift shop was great, the staff knowledgeable, and the grounds were nice for touring. The beach is right behind the center, so you could easily make a day of it. There is no fee, but donations are very welcomed.

Went with our daughter and son in law, very nice and clean facility, saw turtles being cared for and staff was very helpful. Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our private tour at the center since we got personal information and got to go behind the scenes. We originally wanted to do the evening tour, but didn't plan ahead enough. Our guide was very knowledgeable and the work the center does is tremendous. We also took a nice walk down to the beach (just across the road from the center); it is a very unspoiled location. There is also a great gift shop with a remarkable selection of quality items.

Educational and fun. Kids of all ages will enjoy. Great exhibits with rescued turtles and their stories . Admission is your donation.

I'm not sure who enjoyed this more, my 14yo daughter who absolutely loves turtles, my 8 year old son, or my husband and I! If you are in the Juno Beach area this is a must see. Rescued turtles of all ages. On each turtles habitat, there is a sign telling all about the turtle, from what kind it is, where it was found and what happened. Admission is by donation only.

There were many volunteers at the rescue/rehab facility. They were most helpful with lots of information. The facility is very clean and comfortable.

What this place does for sea turtles is amazing. It is a wonderful organization and it's a real treat to get to see these animals...especially knowing that they are there to be rehabilitated NOT to live in confined captivity...in fact you can watch from the beach as newly rehabilitated turtles are released and make their way back to the ocean. O.K. the gift shop is super expensive but it's all for the turtles...definitely go at least once. (After nesting season there will be baby sea turtles at the center you can see!)

The docents are absolutely terrific and willing to answer all your questions, as well as, telling many facts about the turtles. They are the backbone of this facility. Of course, the turtles are important, too. You get to see many sizes and types of turtles who are being rehabilitated and each one has his/her story printed on a card at each tank. Very educational and enjoyable visit.Get good directions to the place before you go...couldn't enter the address on the website on our GPS.

I had not been to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center since my daughter was around 8 and was amazed at how it has grown. The work done here, all by volunteers, with recused turtles is amazing. Its really cool to be able to see the turtles being rehabilitated in their recovery tanks - the turtle version of a hospital bed. Be sure to visit when you can take one of the guided tours as the volunteers have a wealth of knowledge and make the experience even more fun. Don't miss it. Oh I forgot to mention that admission is free although everyone makes the $5 suggested donation. And you will probably end up going on line and adopting a recovering turtle like I did after visiting. You just cannot resist.
