syd's place

If you have ever lived in or near Lawrence County Illinois, you know all about Taco Night at Syd's in Lawrenceville. The meat is high quality and sauce so tasty I can't describe it. Wrapped in a flour tortilla and served with cheese, onions, etc. as desired, Staff is friendly and attentive. Love this place and always look forward to a taco and cold drink when I visit home.

My wife and I were taken to Syd's Place during the Thanksgiving weekend by family. From the moment we walked in to what was described to me as a "dive bar", the owner made us feel absolutely welcome. We were seated and our drinks delivered immediately. I also ordered a couple of tacos and they were absolutely delicious. Throughout the evening, the owner and his wife dropped by our table to ensure we were having a good time. As I looked around Syd's, I wondered if it were possible NOT to have a good time! Everyone was in a festive, fun, happy mood. I will be returning often, when we visit.

Can't beat Syd's tacos and the friendly staff are #1! Syd is great to mingle with the crowd......and yes its crowded so go early and enjoy!
