Our group took a ride here. Well trained, gentle horses, and lovely, breathtaking scenery! The manager/owner is an energetic, terriffic leader, conscientious and caring about both horses and clientele. He did a great job "teaching" our group ahead so we would know what to expect and what to do, and he monitored everyone very well, as some of our group had not ridden horseback before. My horse was "Skeeter," a rescue horse. I also strongly admire the motivation and dedication of the the owners to rescue work. Walk over and stop by the "Gunsmoke" grill for a refreshment afterwards!
Took our daughter for her first real horseback ride, and all of us enjoyed it thoroughly. Our guide, Chico, was fantastic and taught all of us things about riding horses that we never knew before. The trail was nice, they were great with kids. We would definitely go back again when we are in the area.
I had planned to try this place on October 4th, but it was raining and very cold, I called and talked to Paul who is the owner. He was so nice, we moved it until today October 5th. Everyone working there was nice, Paul was outgoing and friendly. I rode KO-KO ....the ride was so relaxing and the views were awesome in the fall colors. I will go back since they ride even in snow.
Took our 2 granddaughters (14 & 4) for a horseback ride. The "trail boss" - Chico - was excellent and looked after everyone's needs AND took a bunch of photos too. The little one could not go on the trail on a horse, but they drove her around in an ATV and she had a ball. When we all got back the little one got to ride around the grounds with a guide. Everyone was very nice and helpful and made the experience a pleasant surprise for our girls.
I recently took my daughter's Cadette Girl scout troop here and we had a great time! We booked a one hour trail ride. First we had a quick, humorous safety lesson with the owner. There were plenty of employees helping the 8 of us mount our horses. The horses were gentle and well-trained. The trail was beautiful, going up and down hills, across rivers, and through fields. Safety was a priority of the staff - this is the first place I've gone riding where someone actually walked along with your group and fixed stirrups, adjusted reins, and otherwise helped out as your rode alone. Another employee followed along in a jeep and took photos for you with your camera so that you could always hold onto your horse and not get distracted. Everyone was friendly, polite, and patient. The girls summed it up best, "That was GREAT!"
Stayed in the area recently and visited CCR. Planned on horseback riding along with the Grandparents and my son following in ATV. Pleasantly surprised by the restaurant / full bar on site, amazing burgers! Had a wonderful ride, very friendly staff, and pictures of my son on his first horse to cherish always. Thank you CCR! Will be back in the fall!!
The little town of Cedar Point has a new restaurant or is it's first restaurant? Located outside of Cedar Point, surrounded by horses and trees is a pretty good restaurant. I ordered the ranch chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries (extra cost) and my hubby had the hamburger. Both we very good. The restaurant was very busy after 6:30 and had only one waitress and one bartender. We would of liked to order another drink and sit outside with the live music ( a guy with a guitar) but service was poor. We were disappointed that they didn't have more BBQ fare but we would go back.
If you're in the area, stop by Cedar Creek Ranch and take an hour trail ride through their private paths. There's plenty of adventure and safety is the priority - so there's no need to worry if you've never been on a horse before, or if children are part of your group.
