skull valley general store

We enjoy going through Skull Valley on our way between Phoenix and Prescott. It's a bit further, I guess, but well worth it. This time we had lunch at the Skull Valley Diner, which is just across the street from the Store. It also qualifies as nothing fancy, but we totally enjoyed the food and the people. Highly recommended. The General Store has pretty much everything you didn't know you needed until you saw it there. It's an interesting collection of the ordinary, and the what's that? They even have a couple large, residential-style refrigerators that contain cuts of locally-raised beef and lamb, but you'd obviously need to be prepared to keep it refrigerated. We purchased several craft items, I assume done locally, which were incredibly reasonable in price. At times there's also a small, farmer's market just the other side of the store. Had a great time!
