What is a shame is,they are not open Sunday,Monday.Tuesday.Wednesdays. We really need to open this to the public a little more.My kids along with others deserve to learn about History,How can they do this on limited days

As Wilson's daddy was a minister, he lived in many places growing up so now many cities/states have historic boyhood homes of this president which tickles me. I saw this home before much of the restoration took place, and they have done a marvelous job of it. Next door is the Lamar House where his boyhood friend lived; he grew up be chief justice of the Supreme Court.

The tour of Woodrow Wilson's boyhood home showed in-depth the childhood of the 28th President. After watching a video, you tour the house. While there are few original artifacts, the house has been nicely restored.

We were passing through Augusta, and had a little time to kill so we thought this would be interesting.This was our 5th Presidential home and the tour was guided and informative. As someone stated in one of the other reviews, it was nice to walk through the actual rooms, instead of peeking over a velvet rope.I recommend this attraction to anyone who is interested in Presidential history.Btw, thanks to our guide for recommending a very good downtown restaurant

This is a nice place to visit if you are looking for something historic in Augusta. This is not a National Park Service location but instead is run locally.There are three buildings and a video included in the tour.

I've been on my share of tours of historic homes and places and found this to be one of the best tours available. I loved being able to walk through each room, not just peek in past the rope at the door. The docent conducting our your have us a lot of information about the furniture (and was a self admitted antique lover) with my children found a little dry but she also shared plenty of information about the Wilson's life in the home. At only $15 for three of is, it's a bargain too! The lower level of the home is air conditioned which was a wonderful treat after walking the streets of Augusta in July.

More than just a guide, Stephanie told the story of Woodrow Wilson’s childhood with such detail, it felt as if I was witnessing it live.There was so much history within the walls of this attraction and would definitely recommend setting aside an hour experience this in Augusta.A truly authentic ode to President “Tommy” Woodrow Wilson’s early years.

A last minute decision to visit a childhood home of President Wilson unfolded more information about the man. Having visited his other home in Virginia, it was interesting to see how the years spent in Augusta influenced and shaped his life. Growing up during the Civil War and being on the spot to see the wounded soldiers right across the street must have been a sobering experience.The home was lovely, interesting information and Stephanie - my tour guide - did a marvelous job of bringing his life experiences to the fore front.The property is open Thursday - Sunday, so take that into consideration if traveling through. And they do tours on the hour.

This is a fascinating and wonderful home of President Wilson in his youth. The history, the home and structures, and the museum set up are just fantastic. One learns so very much about the man, his home, and family.

i recently visited augusta and wanted to see the wilson boyhood home. the tour guide was knowledgeable and informative,as she told of the history of the wilson family, and of tommy wilson's days in augusta.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. - George Santayana This is my third Wilson home to visit and an indispensable hit on my Bucket List. See where the boy Tommy etched his name in the glass and the window from which the child could hear the screams of Civil War soldiers being operated on.

Nice to see where Woodrow Wilson lived the first 14 years of his life and how he was influenced by the Civil War outside his door. The guide tells about how a "kitchen is not attached to the structure due to fire" and a hundreds of other pieces of info that you hear at any home tour. I would like more info about Woodrow, Augusta, the influences, etc and less about the basic, "this is a dining room".

at first, we didn't want to do the hour tour..we were just passing thru Augusta and just wanted to say we saw his home...but the tour conducted by Stephanie was top-notch...she explains all facets on this home in the hour and makes it very interesting...from the history of the town to the architecture of the home, this tour is more than just a presidential biopic of "Tommy" Woodrow WIlson...a must-see...worth the $5!!

History buffs, we enjoy going through historical places, and are glad we stopped here. Our tour guide was so well informed. We feel like we know not only Woodrow Wilson, but Augustans who lived in his era. Woodrow was "Tommy" until he went to college. Tommy spent his formative years here from age 1 to 15, the son of a Presbyterian Minister. The church provided them with a beautiful parsonage nextdoor to a playmate who grew up to be Supreme Court Justice Lamar. Lamar lived in the First Christian church parsonage, the son of a minister also. We also toured the slaves' apartment out back.

Interesting to learn about Woodrow Wilson and how his childhood influenced his political views. The guide was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed the tour.
