The bridge is the focal point for the entire town. Went down to the visitor centre although not very well advertised was fairly informative but could have been far better.
Ronda is a lovely town to walk around and this bridge is quite stunning. Make sure you walk down the side of the gorge to see the view up towards the bridge. It is a long walk back but well worth it!
This bridge cannot be overlooked as you have to cross it going from one part of the town to the other one . The views are very beautiful. Looking down to the river the depth is breathtaking. The bridge itself is a beautifully styled monument.
The bridge is barely 50m long and looks like any other bridge when you traverse over it, but is very beautifully designed when you look at it from below. There is a chamber as well which houses an exhibition about the history of the bridge. As the name suggests it is the newest bridge built in Ronda over the river that passes underneath. Beautiful sight at night under lights.
Amazing to look down from the bridge. The city is built at the top of the hill. View from both sides.
You can't come over to this part of the world and not see / cross this amazing bridge. Far reaching views on sunny days . Take the time to really look at the views , amazing!
Absolutely breathtaking... A place that is a must see if you are visiting anywhere in Andulusia, Spain! The history is magnificent, the people are friendly and the scenic opportunities are at each bend of the road. There is so much to see in one small geographic area, yet you really need more than a day to fully absorb. Take time, be ready to leisurely walk and investigate a treasury of history!
This beautiful bridge dominates the Gorge in Ronda. It is best viewed from one of the many Restaurants to the North and South or indeed from the floor of the Gorge although it is a steep climb. The excellent Parador sits between the bridge and the Bullring and there is a great tapas bar on the Southern side of the Hotel with splendid viewsRonda is a "walking town" and it is a pleasure exploring the back streets, museums, Monasteries and the many fine restaurants.High season sees many coach parties with crocodiles of tourists beating a path to the Bridge and the Bullring thus if you can avoid July/August and early September as it can be crowded and hot! 40 degree temperatures are not uncommon.Take a carriage ride from in front of the bullring. a bit touristy but well worth it!
Whilst taking a photo from this wonderful bridge, I was jostled by a swarthy woman who was also taking photos. I just thought it was slightly rude behaviour since the bridge wasn't crowded. At the same time my partner was nudged by a man with blondish hair, Luckily he realised something was wrong, turned to me and saw the woman's arm over my shoulder bag - she had actually had her hand concealed under a scarf, inside my bag. The couple then walked away quickly but when we returned about 3 hours later, they were back again pretending to be tourists, cameras in hand, taking photos.
Nothing can prepare you for how high this bridge is above the gorge that cut through this lovely hill top town. A definite must-see for anyone visiting the area. The staff at the Tourist Inforamtion Office were very helpful and provided us with a very useful map of short walking tours around the town taking in the Puente Nuevo.
The views from almost everywhere cease to amaze, although my wife was a little apprehensive getting to the edge and looking down.Take time to walk down the steps to see the bridge in all its splendour.
a must see . The town is very quaint with lots of shops and coffee bars selling yummy cakes at reasonable prices . The bridge is a wonderful construction and has many visitors. A visit to the bullring was interesting great historical past . Even if you don't agree with bullfighting .
We went there by chance and was simply amazed to find this place. Views from both sides of the bridge are completely in contrast to each other. One side there is a valley while on other side a deep descent. Very narrow bridge and you must go to one side to see the beauty of this bridge from down below.
You can't avoid it since this is one of the main attraction of the city. If you pass all of the 3 bridges you'll have a great tour and views of Ronda
