We bought our sarnies from M&S, sat in on a bench in the sun on what was the first day of spring this year. Peaceful, relaxing, lots of people of all ages enjoying these lovely gardens. Wonderful.
Close to town centre. River running trough. lake. Nice place to walk. Flower beds and plenty of areas to sit. Suitable for Wheelchairs in most areas.
On a dry chilly day I spent some time in these gardens. As well as a great assortment of trees some labelled, there are sculptures to be found, ducks and swans, even a number of squirrels. A tidy well kept place and an enjoyable visit.
Always a nice place for a stroll with plenty of variety. Ducks for the children to feed, attractive flower beds, river views and a pleasant cafe. A haven of peace.
Went for a walk round the gardens with hubby. It was lovely, used by all ages and the glass house was a bonus. Will go back with a picnic in the summer
I know that it was half term but even so it was good to see the park being enjoyed by so many age groups. There was plenty of interest still there in the plants and the well kept beds. Clean and tidy and snacks, drinks meals and toilet facilities all available. Very relaxing stroll away from the traffic and shopping.
Lovely gardens to sit and watch the world go by in. Beautifully laid out flower beds. Plenty of areas to sit and have a picnic and dogs are welcome on a lead, on the other side of the river there is a small play area for children
This is an entirely free attraction. The gardens are maintained to a high standard throughout the year and even felled trees are turned into art. There is a walk through tropical garden (also free) . The fountains on the lake are very scenic as is the boating lake. The suspension bridge gives a good view of the weir. There is a small child park as well. There are multiple floral displays that change throughout the seasons and I am so lucky to have this park on my doorstep.
Right in the centre of town it provides a lovely space to enjoy the water, wildlife and has a great little cafe in the middle
Jephson gardens provide a little haven in the middle of Leamington, which is blessed with lots of green spaces but none so lovely as this. The flower gardens are immaculately maintained and always stunning. The glass house is great in the winter as it's always warm in there! The duck pond / fountain is great if you have little ones - feed the ducks / geese / swans all year round! The recent addition of the cafe in the Aviary is welcome - as it means that there is finally a place to buy coffee (drink in or take away) in the park. Their cakes are not cheap, but they are interesting and well worth the money! A few years ago a very large tree had to be felled as it had contracted a disease. A local sculptor has taken bits of the tree and made carvings and seats, which are spread throughout the park, including a hedgehog, and a dragon. There are wide open flat spaces where children can run around, as well as the more genteel manicured sections, so picnics are great here. Some interesting statues and follies make for an interesting meander. And during the summer the ice cream van conveniently stops at the gates on Newbold Terrace. There are public loos too. Regular guided tours of the park, and occasional childrens' workshops in the glass house all make Jephson Gardens truly special.
These are lovely, well maintained gardens to walk around as I always do when visiting Leamington. It offers a chance for a little peace and quiet in a busy town.
The jewel in Leamington Spa's crown, these well maintained gardens are a calming experience any time of the year. One can easily imagine Victorian gentlefolk promenading there on a sunny afternoon.
I love this park and never miss a visit when in Leamington. It has a bit of everything for everybody plus it is always very well maintained. Please don't miss the glasshouse with its awesome collection of exotic plants, also a good place to transport into a hot and humid weather no matter the season!
A visit to the Jephson Gardens is best in the summer or in the spring. With beautiful plants and flowers, it is the perfect place to explore. A vast garden filled with adventure. It is lovely for a short or long visit yet it tends to be quite busy in the summer holidays on the weekend. Not to be missed if there is great weather and you are in Leamington.
These gardens make for a pleasant walk at all times of the year and the residents of Leamington clearly appreciate the facility. The flower beds are already planted with wallflowers and pansies, and will soon be springing into flower.
