The first thing you notice is the avenue of giant redwood trees as you approach the houseThe house came to life with the enthusiasm of the volunteer guides in each room, all had tales to tell about the house and gardens( one was eeven dressed as a 'toff' in top hat and tailsThe house itself contains the belongings of the family when they handed over the property to the national trust..nothing needed to be brought from other NT properties which is nice

Didn't expect to find so interesting a villa in the outskirts of Wellington. House was just waking up, but the staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Very nice small tearoom on the site. Trip round the garden helped by sunny weather!!

Many Telford people may not even know that this house exists! It is well hidden from the main road, but is well worth the visit. There is a small amount of parking available at the house. The grounds are quite secluded and well worth a stroll around. The house is as it was left and contains many original artefacts. The staff were very friendly and the brief talk at the start of the visit is very informative, especially for those who come from Wellington. An enjoyable afternoon. It will be worth a re-visit in June when the old Daimler will be on display.

This is well worth a visit. We don't live far away from Sunnycroft so have made a couple of visits and will probably go again next year. The house and surroundings are gorgeous and somewhere to have a drink. A band was playing and someone was singing a really pleasant experience.

A beautiful National Trust property, with a feeling of home, wonderful guides in each room and they have a passion and knowledge of the house.

I have enjoyed Sunnycroft for many years being lucky enough to live near by. The work being done there to conserve a charming tiny slice of Edwardian Wellington History is relentless I'm sure, but highly rewarding for us visitors. I must congratulate the staff and volunteers for their vigilance and stamina. Sunnycroft is a National Trust Treasure that is well worth a visit at any time of year.

A nice afternoon was spent here last August. Lovely house, beautiful grounds. Much smaller estate than I first thought, but still nice. Part of the National Trust. Love the drive way with lovely tall trees on either side. Friendly staff. Pleasant afternoon.

Took some Belgian friends on a rainy day. Our lady guide was excellent, we felt as though she had lived there herself. Very interesting property & informative. Good Tea Room too, excellent cake!

This NT property is a lovely Edwardian house that is well worth a visit. Pretty and interesting its was nice to see a house of that era. The garden are pretty and the tea shop is lovely. We sat besides the lawn under the shade of a wrought iron decorative veranda and enjoyed our scone and pot of tea whilst watching families play crochet on the lawn. How decadent and enjoyable is that. I should have been wearing a tea dress!

Sunnycroft is a wonderful small NT property and is well worth a visit , providing a facinating insight into this Victorian Villa. Full of interesting things and bought to life by the friendly, enthusiastic and well informed room guides.Great tea room too , lovely soup and cakes with tea served in real china in one of the rooms in the house.

Sunnycroft is a small NT house, but is a gem full of life through the ages. The original owners did not throw things away and the house has been left as per the wishes of the last owner as if they had just gone out. All the wardrobes, cupboards etc are still full as are all the rooms with items from Victorian times to present. The stair case in the middle of the house is very grand and my favourite bit of the house. The gardens about 2 acres are very nice place to sit in the sun the drive down to the house is lined with very tall trees . A must visit and we will go back.

Unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time to spend there. We found it very interesting and will return on another visit to look at things in more detail.

Brilliant, very nice. Has some good history, quite cold if you go in the winter but all the staff are friendly and it's a nice place to go if you've got a few hours to kill on a Sunday :) Definitely recommend, plus it's got a cafe.

This is a wonderful example of an edwardian middle class home. The care taken to preserve the families belongings is clearly carried out to a high standard and the little touch of the wedding exhibition was well executed. The labels on wedding gifts throughout the house and the dress itself in the atmospherically lit bedroom were fantastic touches and were incredibly thoughtful and insightful. The introduction by a volunteer in the billiards room and further conversations we had throughout our visit shows how knowledgeable and passionate those working in the house are. They really did it and the family credit. We particularly enjoyed the information a volunteer provided about the pills and potions Cabinet. The servants wing was so lovely to see as often these areas are uninhabitable or have sadly been altered beyond recognition. We enjoyed some delicious fruit cake in the tearoom which having been the Smoke Room previously was packed with charm! The girl serving in the tearoom and infact all staff on site were friendly and helpful.Sadly it was too wet to stroll around much of the gardens but we will return!
