Simply the most wonderful place - an open parkland with people walking their dogs, runners, joggers, families out for a walk or on bikes, people playing cricket all set against the back drop of feeding wild deer who roam around the park along side the general public. There is the Pheasantry Cafe as a refuge to rest and recharge after all that walking and don't forget to visit the Woodland Gardens which once in bloom has the most magical array of colours and smells.Enjoy.

Bushy Park (No e) is a stones throw from Hampton Court Palace, although it is well work a visit on its own. It is free to enter, free to park. There are toilets a children's playground, a cafe, plus the ability to watch cricket/football/Rugby at one of the sports clubs. Deer roam wild and are quite shy and docile (not during Rutting season). The park is used by cyclists, runners and people just wanting a walk amongst the beautiful scenery in peaceful tranquillity. There are "Plantations" with lawns and flowerbeds (Fenced off from the deer) It is the scene of Park Run so is busy early every Saturday but by 10am all the runners have gone. Well worth a visit for all the family

Moved to Teddington in April and still finding corners of the park to be explored. In it's way better than Richmond Park (certainly more convenient).

Walk, people, children on bikes - especially Christmas Day and Boxing Day, coffee shop, food, deer just leave the park and find a pub, the Thames, shops or Hampton Court Palace. What more can you want in the "smoke"?

Lots of different parts of the park depending on what you want. There can be a bit of a long walk between the areas which is difficult with small children. Parking is free - if you can find a space - and there's a lovely playground with lots of space nearby for a summer picnic under the trees!

Great walks in the Park wit one main road and two parking areas. Lovely cafe in the park for lunch and coffee or tea. Have to explore the fountain gardens. Autumn is great to watch the deer rut. Beautiful chestnut avenue and Diana fountain.

If you told me that you could step out of your door in Kingston and within two minutes you are walking with a herd of wild Deer I would say you were joking. Not being a lover of the Rat Race it was with trepidation I ventured to London to see friends. Walking around the trendy streets of Kingston with the Sunday papers tucked under my arm I felt like an extra from Notting Hill.To walk off dinner we took a stroll across the road to Bushey Park. Within a minute of the gate I forgot where I was as I stood eyes closed listening to the crickets in the long grass. Walking a little further the a herd of wild Deer sat basking in the trees, not phased as we passed within 15ft of them,The anglers lining the ponds and stream fished quietly away whilst only the rise of the occasional fish breaking the surface provided the only disturbance.Walking further there was plenty of opportunity to feed the ducks and geese, ample seating are and further still well equipped playing parks to entertain old and young alike,I walked back between the tall heather feeling cleansed and relaxed. My friend said later "Do you think you could live in London?" If I was near to Bushey park I think I could.
